From GIGGERS to BAND OWNERS. From just playing and getting paid; to worrying about whether the money is made or not...PAYMENT must be made to your employees (the giggers in the band that are not owners).
The 3 guys from DAT7 (Olivier, Ti Eddy, Ti Tanbou) are now wearing the other shoe. The shoe that they used to be on the outside looking in. (We are not putting Vlad in there because we are not 100% sure what his status was with Kreyol La. Also with Tanbou, we understand that he has been an owner before, but not as high profile as this one here.)
The 3 guys just got their first wakeup call as BAND OWNERS. They just got some sort of BAPTISM OF FIRE if you will as to the things that they will have to deal with as band owners. They will understand that life is not necessarily rosier all the time on the other side of the table. Heck, there are many musicians who just prefer to get paid their guaranteed money after each gig and not have to worry about some of the headaches that come with being a BAND OWNER. Having said that; DEPUI OU GIN YON JAZ NAN MINW KAP MACHE.....THAT'S WHEN BAND OWNERS LIFE IS SWEETER THAN SWEET in the ching ching $$$$$$$$ department if you know what I mean.
"LEVELTGATE" was the first hurdle of the DAT7 band owners reign, and they are extremely lucky that the guitarist has chosen to take the "I DON'T REALLY CARE" route, instead of starting to dish out all the things that most musicians that are terminated from a group USUALLY do. They can breath a sigh of relief. NOW COMES THE CD...as it is ready to be introduced on the market....and it could not have been a much better timing than this. IF THE CD IS GOOD and rich in terms of material....THE SKY'S THE LIMIT in terms of all the positive talk that they will get from fans and media. If the CD is not....the opposite will happen; but HEY....that's just part of life for NEW OWNERS OF AN HMI BAND! You take the good with the bad; but it's how you handle your success and adversity; is what will determine; or at least be one major factor in terms of how far you ride that wave in this adventure known as the Haitian music industry.
WELCOME & ENJOY THE RIDE!
