*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Is it more important for TOP BANDS to make sure that their parties are well attended, or to play with NEW BANDS to Open doors for LA RELEVE!
RICHARD CAVE: "Patrick, in order for our culture to survive, you need to have "la releve". It is important for people to give a chance to other bands. I've played with upcoming bands, some parties have been successful others not so much. The business has changed.If you are an upcoming band you have to be ready. Today you can't just put 1s ong out and say YOU are "LA RELEVE".
"La Releve " is a movement.. And for that movement to be strong you need to have an album or a few songs. A top band always wants to have a good party... ". A top band would rather play with an upcoming band that has little buzz( an album, bands has a song that's making noise, band has following). That's the truth. Yes we do play with upcoming bands ( la releve). Nou jwe avek " la releve'". Mais nous assure ke tou ingredient yo la pou gen yon bel fet."

I agree with Richard. Bands need to show promise!! They can't expect to have the table set for them. They need to show they are actually "la Releve"

Maestro nay moun tet yo tande freren pam , especially Carimi..these guys won't give upcoming bands a chance especially if they feel that you'll be a threat to them ..anyway suspann bay tet ou mamanti maestro you know it's BS.....si gro zotobre bezwen ede vre poukisa yo chak pa pran yonn jenn jazz met anba zel yo, like The Big Brother program we have in corporate America ...invest in the upcoming bands ....Haitiens pap fe sa pou ou neg yo fragile lol...m konn mizicien nan HMI lan ki toujour la pou jeunes yo Fabrice ak Nickenson (base on personal experience) ....gen anpil sabotage nan business lan
