JayB,

I like the guy. I don't think he's ready for this big venue.

As for Belo I think he deserve to be here with us just to CONGRATULATE him on his achievement.

Why not trying to introduce FreCan at the festival; this could have been huge for them and FreCan. If possible that is.

Ah monchè Pepla. W'anraje.

Nèg yo pako menm gen yon chante, yo pako menm gen yon djaz epi ou dekan ap di sa.

If I wasn’t going to the fest, knowing that they will perform would change my mind Phiz. Curiosity alone would make me pay to see the life after Zenglen for the first time.

They could create more buzz than Belo and Nicky I believe. Phantom is the only real act he added.

PS. Si yo rele neg yo Jodi a believe me ak gen yon djaz nan yon mwa ou moin. Single si poze soti wi Phiz avan Janvier a fini se sa FreCan di.

I agree with the Belo comment, he is so down to earth. I had the chance to see/here him perform for a small private party in Haiti last July. And what can I say, he performed as if he was in front of thousands of people. You could have heard the passion in his voice. Bon bagay!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Belo can do a song but no more than two.

Phiz,
As much as I admire R&F, but they must earn their spot.
If their band comes out this year, I bet you that the'll be there next year...
Maybe they can make the Fos Baron Pre-Labor Day Festival... Confused Confused

Good initiative, Rodney. I haven't seen the lineup yet, but anything to vary from the "usual suspects" would be great.

Bélo in the Compas Festival?! What?

Mezanmi, Belo pa yon atis konpa non. Do people in the States actually know his songs and his style?

Rodney should know this better than everyone else. Haiti is way different than the US. Yes, Belo is very popular and successul in Haiti. But I doubt it will be the same here, especially when he has never played (if I'm not mistaken) in the US for a konpa crowd.

Phiz, Stop that. Why are you guys so afraid of variety. I would suggest that NOEL adds BARIKAD CREW as well.

Talking about BELO's music, that's true NOT too many know about them. But we have 4 months left. If NOEL & CECIBON want to promote BELO's music before the fest, believe me , his music will be known. All BELO's album need is some promotion. Play his music on radio, play his videos on TV shows, put his posters here and there. And he will be knwon before the CompasFest.

P.S: RODNEY, why don't you give a chance to BARIKAD CREW as well. They are well known and have two HIT songs.

Belo is no joke, the guy is a whole package, his performance will change your minds. I've got a feeling that Nicky will be boed for the first time in this event. Laughing Laughing
