A lot of people don't know this but BEFORE Rodney Noel and his partner Jean Michel got big with COMPAS FESTIVAL, they had a record label called FULL POWER.
Well...THEY'RE BACK! OFFICIALLY they are back as HARMONY RECORDS.
On the menu for 2007 according to Rodney are
*BACKUP: A band out of Haiti whose cd will be released after the carnival. I am sure some may have heard of them.
*CHARLOT/TANTAN: A CD that will feature the TWO STARS TOGETHER...possibly leading to a NEW BAND...managed by Rodney?
*NICKENSON PRUDHOMME: Rodney says that he is extremely interested in getting his hands on Nickenson's second cd which according to close sources to Nicky "IS ACTUALLY READY".
HMI...A NEW LABEL IS NOW ON THE MARKET. TAKE NOTICE I guess.

Hopefully it's not another tèt chat so called label, which I doubt though.
Anyway...
Btw, does that mean Harmony Records is no longer in business?

Good luck to both gentlemen.
On another note.... Im not sure who's heard of Back Up, but I have a couple lives.. Good Sound.... This group is quite good... Not sure what their album will sound like, but I know for a FACT they can play live...

So HARMONY RECORD project fail before they even release a CD.
As far as I remember FULL POWER was the record label behind TRIOMECS success. I think Henry Jean-Louis was the executive producer, i never knew Noel and Jean Michel were behind the label as well.
I wish Jean Micehl and Rodney good luck with FULL POWER. I hope they invest in promotion. I am not only talking about paying radio station to play songs from the bands under their label, I'm talking about promotion at every possible angle.
I have a feeling that a lot of Konpa bands will go and sign with FULL POWER to save themselves a spot at the upcoming Konpa festivals.
I also hope they don't centered the record label arounhd KONPA MUSIC only. We have so many talented rappers and Haitian rap groups that are looking for a good record label/producer to show the public what they are capable of.

Nicky's addition to Compas Fest 2007 and possibly a deal with Rodney's new label on his sophmore cd, COINCIDENCE, I wonder.
Hopefully Rodney's new label will hopefully get the other labels to shapen up, I HOPE.
GOOD LUCK! entering the record label business AGAIN.
