____________________________________________________________
KARIZMA manager RENE on his LABOR DAY FEST experience.
KOMPA MAGAZINE: Your thoughts on the KARIZMA experience at the 2014 Labor Day Festival?
RENE: "First and foremost, I would like to thank Richard Urban and DJ Franky for a great opportunity. Personally with my experience in the industry I know how important it is to be a part of a festival. Even if a festival only brings three thousand people out its still a success because that's more than you can get on a regular club scene. Now with that being said, Karizma had a full show planned for the festival, however, due to the time restraint and lack of information we could not deliver our show which included labor workers on the clock. Again, we do thank Richard Urbain for the opportunity and if invited next year with better planning, we promise our fans a complete show."

I will give richard urbain credit as the biggest bal maker in the industry as of today!
I will also give him credit as the biggest NEW YORK MARKET KILLER as well!
I hope richard is not all about the money., and about leaving a great legacy behind!!
While you are the top promoter in new york. You're treating the lokal band like trash!
This is as important to richard 's legacy as doing big bal is!
Other than carimi, for almost the last two decades.. No band has been able to thrive in the NYC market!
The least richard can do is to treat the little bands with respect and dignity!
Pa fe kom si se charite wap fe yo!
Afe wap bay djaz 5 minute la.. Se arrogance li ye!
Mezanmi pa fe bagay pou compte bancaire nou seulement! Fe bagay ki ka fe diferans nan industry nou an tou! |

I'm a New Yorker. I want to see the NY bands doing great. However, the bands need to help themselves no waiting on promoters to push them. The promoters are not there to push bands. They are in it to make money. My friends & I were a little shocked when we saw them get of the stage after one track. Saying that, they didn't make any impact with that one track. Karizma didn't deserve prime time spot. Let's put presure on the bands to produce great stuff not the promoters. |

Hopefully this issue of time management can be fixed. Richard is giving the upcoming bands a chance which is good. Hopefully next year things turn out better |
