-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"DANCING IN THE DARK", "CHERI PRAN PITYE", and "PROMISE" are just 3 songs off the top of my head that I think ZENGLEN could have still continued to push WITH A MUSIC VIDEO to still keep the focus on their latest CD; instead of just dropping everything in order to put the major focus on the group's 25th year bash in the HMI.
We TOTALLY UNDERSTAND that the 25 year thing IS A BIG DEAL, and a lot of credit must be given to them for that. YES, the group should go all out and make sure that everybody and their momma knows about that; but having said that, NAN SA ZENGLEN SOTI LA before they dropped that critically and commercially acclaimed "REZILTA" HIT CD; they should understand that a HIT CD and HIT SONGS don't come easily to bands on the market. They also have NO GUARANTEES for sure that their next studio CD will have the same result as this current "REZILTA"; so for that reason alone, I would try to milk all the potential hit songs that this CD has in terms of the promotional aspect of it VISUALLY.
ZENGLEN....DON'T DROP THE CURRENT CD TO FOCUS SOLELY ON THE 25 YEAR BIRTHDAY ACCOMPLISHMENT for the rest of the year. YOU CAN DO "Both".

Let me put it out there...
ZENGLEN hasn't done ANYTHING right ever since releasing REZILTA (hit Album)
I don't know if its Brutus or another "chief" in the band but they are not taking advantage of their golden ticket. It took forever and a day for Rezilta video to be completed to the point it lost its appeal once it finally came out.
And now its all about a 25 anniversary party and nothing else. What a WASTE! |

Zenglen is probably the most complete band out there. Talent wise, they're right up there if not better than Klass. It's beyond me why they aren't as successful as Klass. But I agree, the management strategies are a little antiquated. Promise definitely deserves a video. But I do believe (if they stick together) their next album will be better than this one, hopefully they won't repeat the same mistakes. _________________ It's all about Love. |

What are you basing on that makes you confident that they will have a batter album than last"? I definitely don't see them sticking together in tact...I think alot of the antiquated view you speak of comes directly from the main decision makers one of whom is an owner |

Well I think Dano (most importantly), Ralph didn't play on the last album,Brutus might have a song on there as well...all these factors can only add value to a product. I also expect better compositions from Kenny now that he's more comfortable in the band...but hey these days you never know in the HMI. Too bad if they don't stick together. _________________ It's all about Love. |

Zenglen defintely has not taken advantage of this current album. The fact that "Rezilta" was the biggest song of the year(2013) despite how much Klass dominated the HMI tells a lot about that song's impact. While some albums only have one big hit and lack overall quality, Zenglen's album actually had some other very good songs. My personal favorite is "Dance in the Dark" which has all the right ingredients to have been a mega hit itself and not just a hit.
Zenglen is definitely taking a chance here. They still have a name but that's not enough to put you in elite category. For their next album, it's unlikely they will get as big a hit as "Rezilta." If that is the case, whatever momentum they got from the album "Rezilta" might be completely gone. I don't know if I can put Zenglen in the same category as some other bands like Nu Look who has a talent like Arly who is never short of mega hits. |

I completely agree. Zenglen does not take advantage of such a great CD. I don't know what it is but I feel something wrong is brewing within the band. It is a great album with a lot of great songs that are still not sold to the public yet.
Two videos would do great to the band _________________ MY NAME IS STILL ZENGLEN..........ALWAYS. |
