With all indications pointing to NU LOOK rising in terms of popularity with their latest album, we went and asked Arly this question.
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Everybody is saying that it took this NU LOOK album more time to work or RIVE SOU PUBLIK LA than previous Nu Look albums. The HMI insiders say that usually right off the bat, NU LOOK has a hit song, but this time around, it took awhile before that happened. What do you say about that?
ARLY: "On past NU LOOK albums, the fans used to make a choice by paying attention to ARLY LARIVIERE songs first, and then after, they would focus on the other songs on the NU LOOK cds. With this one, ALL THE SONGS ARE SUNG BY 1 person ARLY LARIVIERE, so they have a hard time focusing on one song in particular because they have so many choices at their disposal that they like. You have fans that like "W.A.Tmrw", you have others that liked "CONFESSIONS", others that wanted "LA VIE A DEUX", and so on, and also the radio stations play whichever song they want to push, so it became something that I had no control over. Now the results are starting to show because that album is simply very very very good. SE PA MWEN KI DI L.
An example is "AVE W MAP MACHE" became a huge hit for NU LOOK, but that was AFTER "LOVING YOU" did all that it could do. The same thing for "DESTINATION FINALE" happened because the fans decided to focus more on "A QUI LA FAUTE" and the songs that were sung by Arly Lariviere. On this NU LOOK CD, it was different because like I said, they CAN'T focus on one song because it is all Arly Lariviere. The results are showing now because everyone is singing all the words to every song LIVE."
