We thought this "obsession" was over and replaced by "HEIGHT....HAUTEUR CHANTEUR A"; but based on what this HMI snitch told me this morning, he overheard someone affiliated with an upcoming band NOT TOO WELL KNOWN in the HMI complaining that "PA GIN GRIMO NAN LA RI A ANKO POU CHANTEUR JAZZ. YO PA RENTRE NAN U.S LA ANKO...FANMI YO VOYE YO AL ETUDIE SAUDI ARABIA AK LOT KOTE."
It goes to show you that the mentality still exists in the minds of many about the lead singer position.

This issue exists and wil linger around forever until we decide to have a real debate on the issue. It's not a music thing, but one that is deeply rooted in our society at all levels.
We're afraid to face the issue and tend to ridicule it every time it's brought up...it won't go anywhere. Despite all the progress the USA have done to improve race relations, there are still the Donald Sterling of this world. |
