HARMONIK ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF THIRD STUDIO ALBUM

MIAMI – December 1, 2013 – Harmonik proudly announces the upcoming release of its third studio album, Diferan, which hits stores on December 21, 2013. Since their debut in 2008, Harmonik has experienced great success in the Haitian Music Industry (HMI) in a relatively short time. In five years, Harmonik has gained notoriety in the music industry with such hits as “Obsede,” “Let’s Go,” and “Jere’m.”

Harmonik’s lead singer, Mackendy “MacD” Talon, maestro, Nickenson Prud’homme, and guitarist, Sanders Solon, each put their distinct personal touches on this album. What truly makes this album “diferan,” or different, is the way in which the band has allowed their individual styles to shine, as opposed to trying to create a singular sound. “We got tired of doing what is expected of a typical Compas band. We each have different styles and this time, we wanted to show the fans who we are as individuals,” explained Sanders.

The album features Compas beats, as well as a bit of Zouk flavor. Diferan features collaborations with Shabba, of Djakout, and international recording artist Milca from France. “We had the opportunity to work with some truly talented artists,” said Nickenson.

Diferan features the hit single “Mwen Bouke,” which sparked a great deal of anticipation for the album in the HMI. As MacD stated, “we did not expect to get the response we did, but it feels great knowing that our fans are really feeling the song.”

In this album, fans will see Harmonik in a different light. Diferan exudes more maturity and more emotion than Harmonik fans are used to getting from the band. “More hard work has gone into creating this album than ever before,” explained Sanders. “We have put our all into the album and we did it for the fans. They deserve the best that Harmonik has to offer. After five years, we know our fans want something different. Well, here it is—DIFERAN,” said MacD.

The Diferan album release tour will kick-off in Miami on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Moca Café and Lounge. The following week, on Friday, December 27, 2013 the Harmonik will celebrate at SOB’s Nightclub in New York, followed by an album release party on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Boston.
