Pou dat moun tap tan yon ti dirty laundry air nan camp T-Vice...apa li papa yet for some I still don't think yap satisfe pou juis tan djazz sa kraze net.

To Gerald Kebreau...Kudos to you for sticking true to yourself and your brotherhood of 15 years plus. You are far and away the most respected member of the band within the HMI circles....I truly hope you still will be a contributor to however many Vice albums that are left to make. I wish you much success and happiness with your future endeavors.
----------

For as much as i'm disappointed that it has come to this, I will not cast blame on either side. Like Gerald said 15 years is not 15 days or months....the time has just come for this working relationship to end...when you been at something for this long its not about the money (not totally anyway) its more to it than that.

Honestly T-vice side of the story is not going to shed any more light to the situation because they have disciplined business practices and philosophies that have worked for them all this time.....its either you conform or move on...right or wrong its their way of doing business and for Gerald he wanted something different/better.

As to why he didn't speak up....after 15 years at something I think you kinda understand the way things go.

I THINK YOU STATED YOUR REASONS WELL ENOUGH FOR THE WORLD TO UNDERSTAND AND YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU.
I AM PERSONALLY THINKING YOU FOR ALL THE GREATEST JOY YOU BROUGHT INTO OUR LIFE DURING THE PAST 16 YEARS AND WISH AND WANT MANY MORE TO COME.BY THE WAY IT IS VERY DISTINCT THAT WE ARE READING FROM AN EDUCATED MAN.

I WISH YOU THE BEST IN EVERYTHING YOU MAY HAVE IN MIND FOR THE FUTURE.

First and foremost as a TVice fan I would like to thank Gerald for his exceptional services as the bass player of TVice. You will be missed and in the heart of many you will now and forever be a part of the Vice Legacy. You are one of the reasons TVice has had such long term success and that can never be taken away from you.

You have eloquently stated the reason for your departure without sounding bitter or like a scorned lover and I RESPECT your decision and wish you nothing but the best going forward. I’m a huge smooth jazz fan and the thought of you working with your sister Beatrice gives me chills because I love her voice. Wink

Now as a HR professional I can’t help but feel like your Q&A with Pat was like an exit interview and a lot can be learned on both sides with your candid answers.

• Could management have handled things differently?
• Could you as an instrumental member have voiced your concerns sooner?

I hope management takes yours words into serious consideration because sometimes when you are an owner your perspective can naturally be different from an employee but it doesn’t mean an employee’s observation or suggestions is not valid.

Good luck to all parties and kite kompa mache

As smart as I believe GK is, I think it would have been better if He Did not Bring up the financial and management aspect of the issue. He should have let the fan connect the dots. 15 years is not 15 months or 15 days. Things must not have been that bad after all. If at this point of your life you feel the need to move up financially and your current gig does not allow it, it's fine to make moves. Your presence and the soul you bring live will be greatly missed already.

T Vice had to make a business decision. Maybe agreeing to pay for GK travels expenses would have created more drama with the rest of the crew. Maybe it was not the money but it was not just worth the trouble. Unfortunately the other side is as painfull if not more. Any crew members (current or future) will look at it as if you can't bend some rules for a 15 years strong and talented member, they definitely can't count on you if or when they will get cornered.

It just a Sad picture.

Big Up Gerald, you have given some good memories. Given you attained your MBA and I am working on finishing mines soon, you were a competitive advantage for the band and truly will be miss. Good luck brother.

I think GK is by far the most educated in the bunch. But, unfortunately that's the way the etchemay works. Two three members racking up the stash, meanwhile the rest of the bunch stays in the dust. But in Gerald situation, you would have thought he would be treated differently.

I really think things aren't getting too rosy after the last two albums.

Hopefully the vice crew learns something from this.

Good luck to you Gerald and T-vice.
