I do appreciate Abias' answer. I hope he does his homework next time if he decides to use any military concepts. There are a lot of Hatiians who are serving proudly in the Military. This unproper wear of the uniform does not represent us. I just can't believe all the stuff that I just read from people that have no clue about this subject. I propose that Olivier recalls his video and re-shoots the military uniform's faux pas scenes.

but didn't really want to make a big deal out of this.

Hey i serve this Country proudly in the U S M C .. so i did pay my Dues as
well ... and understood where some of you were coming from .
that said .. i seen many Movies from Hollywood where i've seen many
mistake make .... So i wasn't about to make a big deal about this VDO.

Let it go peeps .. .this video is a nice work and should be appreciated , i've seen worst from Hollywood ...

not that i don't want Haiti ..or haitian to evolve but to me bad or not but did get the storty and they did a good Job trying .

It's part of the process. Nothing is perfect. Some will find no faults in a project out of ignorance or a lack of knowledge, while others will provide constructive criticism so that the artist can ameliorate his art.

What is not acceptable in my book is when some of folks think that certain things shouldn't be criticized. Nothing should be immuned from criticism...

So, just because Hollywood makes mistakes & doesn't do its proper research sometimes we in turn should be ok with our own mistakes?

It's called constructive criticism. Artists should welcome all types of criticisms bc they often highlight the flaws in their work. The problem here is this, if a certain group of people love someone or a group, they should be immune from criticism. And if anyone direct any sort of legitimate criticism against said person or group, then the ad hominem attracts commence.

No true Army Leaders on this board will say that there is anything wrong with the uniform. I just can't believe some inactive and active vets choose to compromise their military standards. I had spend 16 weeks saying "Standards, No Compromise." I am truly embarrassed by my fellow vets who think that the video is okay with them. Please check yourselves!! You know what? I take it back. I totally forgot about The National Guard. I guess they have different standards.....lol...lol
