*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Being that ZENGLEN seems to have one of the hottest cds on the market, with the song that LA RI A AP MANDE NAN MOMAN SA in "REZILTA", since Compasfest has only had Djakout, Carimi, Kreyol La, and T-Vice close their festival, do you think Zenglen has earned the right...or DESERVES to close this year's festivities?

Having said that...NO, ZENGLEN DOES NOT WANT TO CLOSE THE FESTIVAL. ZENGLEN PA VLE FEMIN FESTIVAL LA. All we want is a good slot where maximum people can see us, where we will be able to MAKE A STATEMENT on the stage. We want a great prime time slot...but we do NOT want to close the festival.

When you close the festival, the band that has that task, is usually rushed off the stage, or is in a hurry to do what they have to do before the festival ends. We do not want that."

That is because after almost two decades, the festival organizers still do not know how to manage time

Theb ands who play first get way too much time. And the ones who play last don't get enough. And too much time is wasted in the middle.

I haven't been in three years and quite frankly, I don't miss it.

I agree with Brutus. There is no charm in closing the festival if the band will not get enough time. It should actually be the other way around. The festival closer should have extra time to do something different and memorable.
