We asked ZENGLEN vocalist KENNY DESMANGLES if this current period of popularity that ZENGLEN is having is the most popularity or success that he has ever enjoyed in his many years as an HMI artist. This is what he told KM.
KENNY DESMANGLES: "I can say so no doubt about it YES. When Zenglen had 'OFF", it was a good period as well of popularity, but the most FOR ME AS AN ARTIST in terms of a band's popularity is right now. That is why I try to make sure that myself and the other members in the band stay humble. In the HMI you never know how long success will last. When someone tells me JAZ OU AN AP MINNEN...I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT. MWEN PA VLE POU MOUN DI MWEN PAWOL SA. It is simply the best way to stay humble when your band is enjoying popularity."
When we asked him since this is the most popularity that he's had as a member of the HMI in a band, if the money that comes, if it's best now to BUY STUFF AND ENJOY THINGS THAT HE WAS PROBABLY NOT ABLE, or could not afford to purchase/enjoy, or if the safe bet is to MAKE INVESTMENTS FOR THE FUTURE. This is what he told us "Absolutely INVESTMENTS is the way to go now. Like I said before, you just never know when it will stop being as good as it is now, so what you do is take advantage of it by investing the money that I am getting into things that will bring me peace in the future."

One of my favorite artists in the HMI, I have so much respect for Kenny man. Misie son neg ki travay di anpil misie bwase pou Zenglen anpil. I am so happy for him, so happy for his success. Kennyway
