KM asked Miami promoter ARSENE NOEL how he did with his CARIMI "Back to School" event this past weekend in Miami. This is what he told us.
ARSENE NOEL: "I am very happy with the numbers that we did considering that we had two different ZOUK NIGHTS facing off against us that night. We had 350 people PAID. We did that with the price being $30 in advance and $40 at the door. I DARE ANY PROMOTER or BAND to do THAT against 2 ZOUK nights in Miami. That only goes to show you that CARIMI and ANBIANCE KREYOL continues to be a strong combination. Anyone could have had a couples "show" that night against us, whether it be a Girl and a guy, two girls, or 2 guys for $5....NOU TAP TOUJOU FE MOUN NOU GIN POU NOU FE A. I paid all my bills. FITO FARINEN got his money in his account...PAID IN FULL, and now, I am on my way to STARBUCKS in SOUTH BEACH to go enjoy breakfast. LA PAIX NAN POCH...SAN PWOBLEM."

Manti i was there and even discussed the low attendance with our own dj kompa and compared was there as well no 350 was inside of Hollywood live anytime you find parking on the street at 2 am u can't have 350 inside of the club.And for you guys who always think that zouk night is a raison for low attendance in bal is pure BS,90 % of people who go to zouk don't come to bal,al investigate epui tounen vin dementia.

If I'm not mistaken didn't DJ Paz say the magic number for a bal to even break even is "500" especially for a band that's coming out of town. So I would like to know how did u make your money?

It is very troublesome to me hearing promoters complaining and blaming Zouk night for their low attendance level. It shows to me that they have no idea how to promote. The reason why people are going to the zouk events rather than the bals is the better question that promoters need to answer.
I attended an event with two bands this past weekend with the price of $35 person. I really applaud the upcoming coming band from NY bc they gave 100%, even when the crowd were not showing them the same love in return. The big time band got on the stage and had no energy. It almost looked like they did not want to be there. I have to give it to lead bc he was trying to get them going the entire night.
I can see why people rather go to a zouk night.

Do your Homework or investigation Queen....Hollywood live has a sitting capacity of over 350.......san table li ka pran 850 a 950 moun.si ou pa konn biznis lan ou paka fe evaluation nan yon club ki ka pran ampil moun. |
