If you look around, you'll see the front-man needs to be the superstar. He/she's the one who brings the followers with his physics, style, talents and ability of entertaining. Someone else in the group can also be the superstar, but beside his ability of playing an instrument or of writing good song he can also sing.

The supertar tag that I am talking about is mostly based on spotlight. Who in the djazz will get the spotlight?

ownership doesn't always have to be 100/% or 50/%. you can also be a 2/% owner with executive decision making. This could be a great move for both of them if they are willing to work and commited 110/% of their time in the band.you have to remember there are investers also on the mix and I don't think either one of them will be a 50/% ownership with the money man behind the band. any investers will want to own at least 25-30 percent of the revenues, also you have to include the musisians who will be performing as contractors/giggers etc, they are all come to play when a major deal is going down. especially when you have sponsors/partners.Great move but I don't think they will make that much money when it comes to share holding of the company, we'll see how everything is turn out to be.
