[DONCUE_69]

the president had announced on tv the carnival will be held in july in port-au-prince, so many questions have come to mind, and should be debated.

1) do you guys think the same bands line up from les cayes should be on a float?
there is no doubt T-vice and Djakout are guaranteed a float, we can all agree on that.
bands like carimi, krezi, ram, kreyol la ,T-micky deserve a float as well.

2) should the bands do a remix or come up with new merengues ?
in my opinion, a lil remix wouldn't hurt, that could only bring more flavors and more spices for the fans.

3) Should the bands that underperformed be replaced by the bands snubbed in the first carnival ?

Vwadezil, mika/oli, legend, team lobey.... should replace bands like king posse, mass kompa, bookman, azor...

on a more serious note, I don't think it will be a regular kanaval like the one in OKAY.. and if there will be any bands on the streets it might be very limited

I am not sure the President is serious about organizing a carnival on July. As you point it out, too many factors need to be deeply studied.

What groups for this carnival parade? New/or old meringues? would by july they'll move the people from the tents? They couldn't do it in 2yrs, would they be able to do that in less than 6months? What budget and where to get the money?

In my opinion, it is not a good idea to have a carnival in July. Maybe they can organize a a great festival.

THE IDEA OF ANOTHER CARNIVAL IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

I am totally against it. It is a waste of resources and I don't think anybody can convince me otherwise.

Haiti had a successful carnival in les cayes.

Regarding Miaka/Oli..are they officially a band..? If not why they deserve a chars..?

kompared, underperformed and crowd reaction are 2 different things...
nou krezi executed their song very well because of sound issue the crowd maybe didn't react as they should.
kreyol la performed well, ti micky did his thing the last 2 days
carimi impressed me with a not popular merengue.
but racine mapou, mass kompa, king posse should be removed if there will be a carnival as the president stated.

mon cher mwen trouve se problem ayiti sa wi, afe tradition ak status quo saa...okay sot prouve laa keu kanaval la ka reussi lot kote keu capital la, sa finn fe ampil ayisyen fe tourist local dekouvri richesse peyi ya. pecheur, atizan, machann fritay etc... tout kouch social souse yon zo, it's a win win situation
