We were speaking to an HMI promoter this morning, and the conversation turned to HMI groupies. The general understanding is that most bands have their own personal groupies....LOYAL TO THEM ONLY, while others play the rounds NAN TOUT JAZ. The promoter said this
PROMOTER: "PA GIN JAZ KI GIN GROUPIE VRE. NO BAND can lay claim to a particular groupie or groupies nan HMI la. Groupies belong to TOUT JAZ. It depends on which band the groupie happens to be in the mood for on any particular day. It depends on which guitar STROKE or GOUYAD ki interesse'l on that particular day. LI GINDWA AK JAZ SA semaine sa, and the following week, SE AK YON LOT JAZ LI YE. Depends on KI GROOVE LI VLE PRAN NAN BEDROOM HOTEL LA...sou kaban nan THAT DAY."

I disagree with the promoter. Obviously li pa al nan ball and do like I do when I go to a ball which is observe the crowds(I'M A SOCIOLOGIST). evey single band in the hmi has their own groupies. I know/SEE females that will simply go to CARIMI and they hate KREYOL LA....I also know/see females that will only go out when KREYOL LA is playing. samething goes for VICE2K. I can assure you whenever Kreyol la come to south FL. I mostly see the same females and some of these females mwen toujou ap anmerde yo..by saying se KREYOL LA ou paka pala ...and they will be like you know VAGABONNE FOR LIFE.
When it comes to ZENGLEN/DISIP/NU LOOK/GABEL yo tout gen own groupie yo...gen de seri de fanm depi GABEL ap jwe yo paka pala...
