There were some rumblings about ARLY LARIVIERE allegedly wanting to quit his own band NU LOOK...or the HMI yesterday, but it all ended exactly the way that we thought it was going to when we first heard it...as a false alarm.
HMI observers that we spoke to basically broke it down to us like this in regards to this
A) Arly was frustrated by different issues surrounding Nu Look, and maybe he was having a bad day, so he took an emotional decision AT THAT TIME.....but people always knew that he would not go along with it.
B) Publicity stunt in order to make some noise and get the sympathy cries from supporters/fans, and also to get the media to back off on Nu Look issues.
One promoter who's dealt with Arly a lot told us that the maestro is a straight up businessman, and they don't see him walking away from a band who makes a good amount of money on the HMI circuit...the quote was "Pou jan maestro a rinmin ti WASHINTON li yo $$$$$$. The only way I would believe it was if he cancelled 2 weeks worth of NU LOOK gigs...SE LEU SA MWEN TAP KWE'L"
WE DON'T KNOW WHICH CATEGORY IT FALLS IN....but we're glad that the maestro will still be performing with his band NU LOOK on stage...whatever that was about.
