 |
|
Her VOCALS, CHARISMA, GOOD LOOKS, and HUGE POTENTIAL make NIA the female artist that most people in the HMI feel was/is ready to blow up the HMI circuit. With no other female artists really stepping it up, with the exception of MISTY JEAN (Whose profile has NOT been what it should be on the HMI scene due to a lack of bal circuit action), the stage was pretty much set for NIA to come and take over the HMI like no other female artist since GEORGY in the Compas genre, and EMELINE in the Haitian music genre did it years ago.
The artist has basically gone UNDERGROUND on all of us, including her fans, and there has been many delays of a cd that should have been released many many months ago. The artist has been juggled, or has juggled different industry people that were set to lead her to the promised land from producers, to managers, and others.
What will the HMI do when or IF Nia drops her new cd and gets ready to be out on the HMI scene on a consistent basis with her band?
A) Has the opportunity passed her by, and she can no longer capture the attention that she would have gotten 1 year ago
or
B) Once NIA drops her cd and starts playing with her band...SHE WILL GET HER MOJO BACK!
or C)....Whatever YOU want to write in here

WELL I DON'T HOW SHE IS GOING TO GET MOJO BACK, WE HAVE A LOT OF FEMALE ARTIST WHO GOOD ON STAGE WHEN THEY GONE THEY GONE, FOR EXAMPLE GEORGY, MAGGY, SHIRLEY DEGROTTES, CASSANDA AND SHARON FROM PHAMTOMS, THEY COULD PUT A FEMALE SUPERSTAR ALBUM OUT NOBODY WILL PAY THAT MUCH ATTENTION TO IT. WHEN NIA WAS ON HER PICK SHE SHOULD TAKE AVANTAGE OF IT LIKE MISTY JEAN, EMELINE MICHEL. LOOK AT THAT GIRL MR KONPARED MANAGER HER TIME IS GONE. ONE THING ABOUT HAITIAN PEOPLE DON'T LIE TO THEM WHEN IT'S COME TO MUSIC, IF NOT READY TO DROP AN ALBUM DO NOT SLICE IN THE HMI WITH A SINGLE TELL THEM YOUR ALBUM IS READY. YOU GOT TO BE READY TO SLICE IN THE HMI. HOW LONG AN ALBUM WILL NIA TO DROP IN THE HMI IT'S BEEN YEARS SINCE NIA WORKING ON A ALBUM. UNTIL THIS NIA DID NOT DROP NADA. SHE SHOULD STAY IN SCHOOL WORKING HARD ON HER CAREER. HOW MANY TIME SHIRLEY DEGROTTES TRY TO MAKE A COME BACK, SHE CAME OUT WITH 2 CD'S NONE OF THEM DO NOTHING FOR HER, "YON LOT FWA" STILL STAY THE BEST ALBUM FOR SHIRLEY. NIA TIME IS FADE AWAY. THE HMI IS NOT EASY JUST LIKE THAT. |

"many many months" ago KM? ah monche KM si'w wap bay bagay la bay li bien non...that CD shoulda been out MANY YEARs ago.
back to topic
In this HMI a woman of Nia's beauty and talent (notice I put beauty 1st) will always garner some form of attention depi li kenbe fom li (literally and figuratively). Hell we all remember the phenomenom that was Mei Mei and she didn't even have an album in the works (much to the delight of the KM female posters I'm kidding medam )
Even if Nia drops her CD and starts playing with her band...Im afraid she will suffer the same fate that Misty Jean is suffering currently...in this male dominated industry there isn't room for a female as a main act to reach the heights of her male counterparts.
If anything I think Virginia realized this and as much as she has/had a passion for singing/performing...she took the route that most of us here usually urge artist who we think are wasting ttheir time in the HMI...and she went to school n started a new life n family. |

O O Kiyes mwen ye pou te di yon bagay konsa KM
But kom you put me on the spot....I think Nia's focus has shifted completely (a baby will do that to ya ) while I am not prepared to say its the last we have seen Nia...I feel confident enough to say that her HMI glory days are all but over....unless she got something in the works for 2012 thats gonna have the whole hMI buzzing, it will be a lost case. and she will be seen a fading star much like kompawoolala mentioned. |

Pwoblem medam sa yo... c'est que yo fin par realize ke industri sa pa fet pou yo...
Nia has all the talents needed to at least follow in the footsteps of a queen like Emeline... but she looks like she got no will...
Konpa pa fèt pou fanm... yeah.. you can be a valuable asset for a band, cause if you do your thing right.. you can create a major following... but to make it as a single artist in this industri doesn't leave much to desire...
I AGREE WITH NIA.. BUMP THIS HMI NONSENSE.. GET MARRIED, HAVE A CHILD.. AND FOCUS ON SOMETHING ELSE... EPI DI "LANMMYANN POU BAGAY HMI SA"..
FANATIK GASON AYISYEN PA JANM WE FANM POU TALENT KE YO GENYEN.. SE TOUJOU POU BOTE YO... KI LA PLUPA DU TEMP PA JANM REGLE BOUDANINI POU MEDAM YO...
SEL BAGAY KE NIA FE MWEN PA KONTAN.. C'EST QUE MANMZEL MAWRYE SAN OTORIZASYON'M... MWEN TA SWETE JOSMINAH PA FE MENM TI DEZOD SA _________________ P.P.P= PIYAY POU PIPO

Nia will always be Nia no matter what. Nia has something no female in the HMI had (have). Nia can rock any crowed (Haitian, Americans or the Caribbean) No HMI female artists can sing RNB better than Nia. She has a true amazing talent, she just needs a great manager to help her with her talent so other markets can discover her, not just someone in the HMI (manager want to be) Nia needs a manager like Jay Brown or Jeremy Harding and she can be the next Rhianna.
The only mistake Nia made, she should have dropped a single after she left Zin or sometime last year when her fans were still talking about her.
Anyway, since there are no other HOT female artists in the HMI at the moment all she needs to do is to get with a hot producer and drop something hot while working on her album and she’ll back on top…
P.S. Pat (KM), you know danm well you can help her get her MOJO back… do what you do best… get an interview with her to see what she has been up to and follow her in the studio with your camera (KMTV) and next thing you know Nia would be the next hot topic on KM …. Everything starts here and the rest of the media follow…lol _________________ LOVE ME OR HATE ME, EITHER WAY YOU'RE STILL THINKING ABOUT ME

Ah, she should hang it up and call it quit.
We need to focus on younger females to carry the industry. |
