Lent is very strict for me when I do decide on it...I decided to eat healthier and starting with Lent is great because whenever I give something up for lent I tend to not be so attached to it after the 40 days so it will work out for me...so more vegetables and fruits only 1 serving of protein and 1 serving of starch/carbs per day...no meat on Fridays...and my biggest one no sweets (cookies, candy, cake) so we'll see! |

i usually don't give up anything, but this year i've decided to try it out, only because im heading in the wrong direction... "SHOPPING" i've been doing way too much of that lately and im trying to stop. I would spend about $100-200 on a weekly basis on new clothes for a couple of months now. i don't even have place to put them and i haven't worn most of them yet. my friends and family are going after me hard, so i decided i will stop starting this weekend until easter, not buying anything new, not even a shirt. _________________ ~ ou pa ka gason, pou groupie yon lot gason konsa... ou ka apresye yon artist, men le'w komanse ap joure fanm, derespekte moun... ah monche sa se yon problem

Well a few years back I was addicted to chocolate...I ate it when I was hungry, bored, stressed you name it and I had a piece of candy to fix it...every monday on my way to work I would get $25 worth of candy - you know those bags of mini snickers, reeses, twix, and kitkat those were my picks. I didn't share and by Friday my drawer would be empty...when I realized that I was addicted, I decided I would give it up for lent and I did. the first week was the hardest I went through withdrawals like a crack addict you would think I was on some strong ish (I was shaking and everything) it was scary lol! But I made it through - and now I do candy but it hasn't been a huge part of my life but lately I've been going desert happy and that needs to stop- my cousin still teases about how if someone gave me a piece of chocolate and told me it was poisonous I would still eat it and worry about the poison later...LOL |

Sa se yon addicion serieux! Laughing at the Chocolate Withdrawal comment! Guess I can call you a Chocolate Feen! LOL! At least you're making it happen. but kettttt hard to say NO to dessert... see that sweet rich thing all in your face.. you just wanna dive in head first! Start backstroking in that ish.. hehe! Fight through the temptations! U can do it! Shoot I better start cheering for my dang self! ACTUALLY (smiles) I started mine yesterday when I took myself out to eat and settled for a Baked Scrod, skipped the Baked Potato.. replaced it with a Salad & some Veggies on the side. I felt good. Patted myself on the back for fighting the temptations. Hopefully I can keep it up... So in that case I wish us ALL luck! _________________ Walk With Faith... Not Fear... Free Yourself..
