Four members of Tabou Combo were on a very strange flight connection on their way to Africa. Kapi, Yves Abel, Dener Ceide and the sound man Nènè coming from Miami had to land at Reagan Airport in Washington D.C while in fact their connection flight was at Dulles Airport. When Kapi realized that their was some kind of trouble with the connection, he called me to ask about the distance which is about a 40 minutes drive. I told him not to worry and that I will be there to help. I can tell you that the way those guys are happy about going back to Senegal there's got to be something good going on in Senegal and a great future for Konpa in general. I think this is an area that all of us in the business need to study. Once again Tabou Combo is leading the way in terms of creating new routes for Konpa music in general.
