Can you honestly stand there and name me an album that came out recently that is betterthan 10 ans plus tard than you win.
You mean to tell me that lyrics on 10 ans plus tard, nanou, gen moun li bay, don't let go are corny?

You're a sucker for arly's compositions, but you are dogging richie for being repetitive?
Interesting.
And yes i am a zenglen fan even more so than I am a richie fan.
And believe it or not,
Brutus' compositions are always my favorites on any zenglen album.
KREYOL NOU YE is my favorite zenglen song of all time.
But I'm just saying....

ti cheri... believe it or not... am not saying that albums that came out recently (I don't know how long you talking about) are better than 10 ans plus tard... but to me... it's not any better 
ok.. maybe I can cope with some of those corny lyrics...
but...
"LANMOU FÈ DLO CHO/BOUYI SOT NAN FRIGIDÈ... LI FÈ DLO GLASE SOTI NAN ZANTRAY LANFÈ"???? 
I mean people please... If I could give anything else a pass.. that will not go unnoticed in my book...
and guess what... DON'T LET GO is the track I almost pick as my favorite until I got hit by this above...
As usual... the groove are on point on 10 ans plus tard... but what zenglen/richie's album that does not have sweet groove...
but in all... that's a replica... and poorly managed lyrically....

Interesting post. I think Richie is reaching a point where he is trying to bring new material to the lari while trying to maintain a signature sound. The problem is Richie is trying to mature and the lari that he once dominated has also matured and for the most part has continued supporting him. However, the young are numerous compared to that crowd of 5 dwet to even 5 etwal. His latest album has some gems on it, Linite is one, but the crowd that would deem it a hit is not enough to be considered Lari.
If I may make a suggestion, he might need to allow others to produce more and he can simply give input to maintain that signature sound. He could even bring other producers to come in and contribute. In the AMI, I notice the established artists always ask some younger producers to give them some songs while they oversee the production every step of the way so that it meets the standards that we expect from such an artist. Similar to what AC does with JBeatz. At the same time he can still give one or two songs by himself. Maybe then Zenglen and Richie can be more than just a band that makes good music and become a band that also satisfies the Lari once again. Good Music use to be enough but now hmmm; I guess it may be a question of taste. |

BTW me yon corny lyric " OU MET PEDI 5 LIV, OU MET PEDI 10 LIV, MEN BOUT ANBA PAP NEGOSYE"
AGAIN, the lyric about " DLO CHO SOT NAN FRIGIDAIRE". If it was on a NULOOK album, some smart people would explain this way. " LOVE CAN MAKE WHAT PEOPLE BELIEVE TO BE IMPOSSIBLE HAPPEN" They would not find it corny.

There we go...
some sansib have to turn into a zenglen vs nu look..
but anyway..
I remember when is it real came out... I was one of the few if not the only one to point out that there's one line in the song that I can't swallow.. :dis moi si tu m'aimes de tout coeur, montre moi le chemin du bonheur"..
Not that it sounded corny... But light compare to what arly usually delivers... Arly's love songs carry too much weight to have this kiddy line in it... Songs like.. But I do understand that Arly wrote this song to have a more profound effect on the ladies, not men... We men we relate to songs like "notre histoire, illusion"..
Km gen achiv.. If you guys check, le arly ou byen nu look fe'm fache.. Mwen lage Nan deye yo...
Alors pa vin ranse ak figi moun la pran poz estomake nou...
