I concurr..not bad at all. I made some of my family members look at this and boy were they surprised Laughing Shocked We'll see how this plays out!

But I have a question about how Presidential races are run over there in general. Do they hold debates in Haiti with the other candidates? Town hall meetings? Where do these guys campaign, just Port Au Prince and aborad? Is there a street team or something that helps get the word out? Are there campaign managers and such? Maybe I'm thinking too much of how American campaigns are run but can anyone offer any insight?

Daf,

They do campaign outside of Port-au-Prnce...

But nothing outside of Haiti. I think this is the first time that I'm seeing a little bit of it with Micky.

As for debates, I never heard of any. But I think there is an organization who is asking for some this year.

Apart from that I don't know anything else.

How do they plan on tackling them? with what funds? where are their plans?..ahhhhh Rolling Eyes Arrow Confused Confused

They do debate each other on National TV. i remember seeing Manigat Debating Sylvio Claude and other candidate in the 1987/88 election i think. I left Haiti in 95 so i don't know if they still do it.

The thing is, the debate is in french and 80/100 of pop don't speak french.
that'll give you an idea.

Some of the questions he did not really answer directly. But i realize most haitian aren't too confortable speaking french. They don't practice it enough pour etre dans son asssiette quand on parle cette langue.

But Michel is really serious about his candicy. For some strange reason i'm warming up to him.
Mwen ta swete prezidan pa desann pantalonl le pep la pran nan dadal. Very Happy
