After Sean paul performed At LNDJ , He left the podium after 23 minutes to be exact. When he was leaving, somebody in his entourage said 23 minutes and the guy made $ 15 000 dollars. I wonder does that make sense?
The guys was not even advertised and the people that came on that event came for T-VICE , CARIMI , HARMONICK , MIKA . Does it make sense to pay an artist that much money?

I think it's a slap to the haitian artist that T- VICE , CARIMI, and HARMONICK. I know that none of these bands got paid that money.

What do you guys think ? Should Haitian Artist Get paid the same Amount?

There is nothing wrong with paying $15,000 for 20 minutes to an international mega suprestar, it is a structure and as long as you follow it, these type of funds are available. The HMI does not have a good guideline, we so far behind that our musicians have to play gig after gig to survive, but an artist like Sean Paul plays 6 gigs for a year, he is loaded, and we are not even talking about Lll Wayne or Jay-Z. I am not surprise at all.

Neg Sean Paul yo se ak million neg sa yo deal nan industry yo. Surprise appearance in a club where they don't even have to sing they get paid a lot of money.
It's not a slap in the face of haitian band, it's just Sean Paul's rate. Ou vle misyeu vinn perform as a surprise guest, pay him his rate, if you are very inlfuence you can have a discount maybe. But the fact that he was there performing at your event make LDNJ stocks goes up. People will storm your parties to find out who will be performing.

Guys ,

I'm not saying that he shouldn't get paid that amount. But why can't promotors pay our haitian Artist the same way. The same thing happen for kompa festival when they paid Kassav $ 20 000 dollars and they paid T VICE , DJACKOUT , CARIMI, An average of $ 7000 . LA nuit des Jeunes would have had the same amount of people with or without SEAN PAUL .

Dude, if you're an international superstar, you get paid more than the local star, they will not pay the other band more money because they're paying a bigger star more than paying you, and they will not pay the superstar 5000 because they want you to feel good.

in another word tout moun gen prix yo.

on ti example tou piti I don't know if you follow Football. They paying ronaldo 4 times more than what they paying yguain. It's business.

tout moun gen prix yo patizan. Nothing personal. Take or leave it.

I really don't see what is the big deal.

Sean Paul is an international and world renowned superstar, a multi-platinum selling, Grammy-winning singer.

Why and how can you compare him to T-Vice, Carimi, etc? Two completely different worlds.

It really doesn't make sense!

Moreover, Sean Paul is part of a real, structured, regulated, organized "music industry". Not what you guys love to call the "HMI". He's signed to a global record label, has his management and PR teams, etc.

So you want his services? You pay him his worth! As simple as that. Two different worlds.

The Haitian bands can't even tell you how much records they sell and you want to compare them to a multi-platinum singer.
