TEMPO boycotting an upcoming New York group by the name of KONTWOL LA?
We got a call from KONTWOL LA manager EVENS last night, and he basically told us that TEMPO pulled out of a planned joint event/bal that both groups were to have done together, because THEY WANTED TO TEST THE WATERS THEMSELVES to see how they can do at that bal BY THEMSELVES.
EVENS says that he is livid because promotion material had already been done for the event, which is money that's going down the drain. EVENS does not quite know what message TEMPO is trying to convey to his group KONTWOL LA...Not sure if TEMPO is saying "YO PAP JWE AK TI JAZ", or if TEMPO is afraid to face competition from KONTWOL LA being that they are in the same market.

My opinion, maybe Tempo is doing what has been done to them.

| I do not believe this allegations came from Evens,a guy whom I considered as a friend, just to clarifie Tempo never have any problems to play with any band whether u are popular or not. I RJ from Boogie productions has been in the business for over a decade, I have worked with bands such as D-zine, Zenglen, T-Vice, Carimi, kreola and more. Tempo is a business that I am managing just like my other businesses in any case if I a promoter signed a contract with my band to perform alone it should be respected. However if such promotor decided to make any change atleast I should know. Tempo has no problem playing with kontrola, first class, model kompa and more my only problem is when we are schedule to perform with them it's like we are going to war that's why we have to becareful thank you. |
