Here are the 2009 KOMPA MAGAZINE MUSIC AWARD NOMINATIONS for "GROUP OF THE YEAR".

2009 KM MUSIC AWARD NOMINATIONS! (GROUP OF THE YEAR)

A) NU LOOK: They continued to ride off the popularity of their "ABO" CD on tour + they made their first STUDIO foray into carnival territory.


B) T-VICE: Popular Haiti Summer tour, Carnival big dog as usual + their Panama trip possibly opened doors to a brand new market again.


C) CARIMI: CARNIVAL success this year proved that last year was not a fluke. Also continues to be one of the top bands in the business in terms of popularity.


D) HARMONIK: IN their first year, they have managed to accomplish what a lot of HMI bands, including ones that are popular right now, were not able to do.


E) KREYOL LA: Have steadily had a strong year since carnival, including a few trips to other markets that have been knocking on their door.


F) ZENGLEN: This group refuses to satisfy those who keep writing them off the HMI landscape. Are steadily gaining momentum.


G) BARIKaD CREW: They are kings in Haiti. Even though the buzz is not as strong outside of Haiti as it is in the motherland, that carnival "tour de force" is something that has stayed with many throughout the year.


H) DJAKOUT MIZIK: The crew continued working hard for the 2009 HMI season, even though Djakout has been more popular than this year, it still is better than a lot of other bands in the market.


WHO WILL WIN IT THIS YEAR....STAY TUNED?

It's 2 bands race in this categorie, NULOOK & T-VICE. BELJAZZ should go home with few awards this year such as Best new group, best album, song of the year. Pat pa fe bouch mwen vin'n pi long na zafe Beljazz la papa.
