I was at work when a co-worker came and told me. I immediately went to the internet trying to get more information.
This was a very sad day, still is.

I had just gotten off the train; first plane had hit tower. When I got in my office building lobby, a group of people were standing around the concierge desk watching a small tv. I asked the Fedex guy what happened because that was so unusual to see so many people in the lobby. At the time he just said a plain hit a building kamikaze-style. I thought nothing of it until i reached my office & actually saw the footage on tv. My boss invited all the employees to his apt on 23rd for the nite as there were no trains at the time. As we're walking to his apt, a military jet flew overhead & people started running thinking it was another attack. Wow; seems just like yesterday...

Actually, that day, they stole my car at a supermarket. I had not clue what was going on until i got home to watch the news.
That was until later i realized the magnitute of the disaster

I was heading to work and I saw it on the news going in. Shocking man!

I was running late for my class that morning...started to hear on the local radio that something tragic was happening in NYC...got to school in the parking lot and everyone was wondering what was goin on by that time we heard a second one hit and one at the pentagon...they cancelled school n i drove back home not grasping the magnitude of what was taking place...I actually went to Circuit City to pick up Jay-z's Blueprint album that came out that very day.
i had never been to new York, nor did i have relatives living up there..so i really never knew how significant the WTC was nor the amount of people who work inside or in the surrounding vicinity. Spent basically the next 2 days glued to CNN as everything unfolded. |

I was getting ready to go to my first class.
It was my very first semester in college.
I always had the tv on the news channel in the morning.
And boom there it was.
I called my roommate who was still in the shower and we both watched the secod plane hit.

JUST FLEW FROM CALIFORNIA AFTER A WEST COACH TRIP WITH LIU SOCCER TEAM, AND WE PLAYED SANTA CLARA AND CAL POLLY. AS WE CAME IN MONDAY MORNING UNLOAD OR BAGGAGES WE HEARD A BOOM! WE SAW SMOKE IN THE AIR WE IMMEDIATELY RAN INTO THE ROOF OF OUR SCHOOL AND A 15 MINUTES OF TIMES WE SAW THE SECOND PLANE CRASH INTO THE SECOND TOWER. IMMEDIATELY THE PROVOST CLOSED CAMPUS.

I was in class and when I got home my mom was watching the news...
And I thought it was a part of some movie or something... To me it couldnt be real, all those people dying for no reason...
