Here is ZENGLEN's side of the story in regards to the showdown with N.Y Promoters FOOLISH/A-TEAM that went down last week "FOR" the NU LOOK/ZENGLEN party in New York.
*RICHIE talks about "HIS DEAL" with NU LOOK maestro ARLY about ZENGLEN/NU LOOK bals
*He talks about ZENGLEN not getting paid by FOOLISH/A-TEAM, and how they broke their deal EVEN BEFORE ZENGLEN stepped on that stage
*He answers claims by FOOLISH that ZENGLEN had already pulled a similar stunt at a KREZI bal before
*His response to FOOLISH's claims that ZENGLEN will NOT play their next party in New York later this month

Being a bal promoter requires not only business and management skills but also wisdom and moderation to deal and survive in this industry because you're dealing with different types of people and sometimes diplomacy could be the key to solve certain problems. If a bal promoter believes that using blackmailing and coercive techniques is the best approach to succeed in this business, I think he/she is in the wrong type of business because you don't know when a band's next album would be a hit or not: they (the band management) might never forget about the way you have dealt with them and they will make you pay for it. Each group needs the other to survive and succeed financially. I know there are many bal promoters in the HMI nowadays, but one needs to ask himself/herself how many are trully reputable, accountable and great businessmen? I am sure the percentage would be very, very slim......I hope the ZENGLEN crew will get their due share because they have worked hard for it....

Richie, sorry to hear this nonsense is going on. My recommendation you need somebody like a Bouboule or a STRAM MAN to help you out brother. You did your job and now them $2 promotors do not want to pay you for whatever reason.

- make hotel reservations but don't actually pay for the band's stay
- don't make good on your promise of a deposit before the performance
- refuse to pay the band for their performance and reimburse their expenses
