ZOUK HAS THE ADVANTAGE OVER COMPAS in terms of the QUALITY OF TOP VOCALISTS in the different music genres.

THE LEGEND ROBERT MARTINO basically confirmed to us what many had thought for years, that ZOUK has more polished VOCALISTS than their counterparts in Compas.

You know, once upon a time I used to believe that and buy into that. However, I believe that the singing style is just different for compas period.

I would say something like Zouk is the equivalent to R&B while Compas is the equivalent to Rock & Roll.

Agree or no?

well I agree to a certain extent..

yes he is right when it comes to vocalist... zouk always had better vocalist and better entertainers than konpa...
however, just like konpa, zouk is at a standing still point.

the only thing that zouk has going over konpa, zouk artist help each other, the collaborate more... there's always new talents.. but the zouk love movement is really crashing right now... and there is a bigger problem for zouk luring around the corner.. THE FRENCH RAP MOVEMENT... the french rap movement is basically the cause of death for "chansonette francaise"..

Well I am assuming he was refering to singing skillz. Zouk singers spend more time working on their vocal. I dont think it has to be with the style.

Please explain to us how is that Mixing.
knowing how to sing is an art,it has nothing to do with voices and style.
only Haitians think that sweet voive means singing abilities.
either you can hit high and low notes or you can not.
any singing instructor can tell if someone can sing or not in any language or Genre of music.
