Mwen dako net ale. Radio kap jwe mizik se radio pirate yo ye e yo gen groupe kap mache ak yo so se sa yo suppote plus. Si yon artist or group ap fe bel mizik epi ou vle support pep la se pou aligne radio yo ave w. However, even that will not be successfull, because the majority of the people will not care about the good music but what is being in vogue at the moment.

Stop it guys, it is like that everywhere. Popular genre/sound has the upper hand.
Why a hip hop song is more popular than a djazz song? Why a rapper is more popular than a djazz singer?
It is a matter of supply and demand.

The problem is, is that we dont have any official radio stations....... I know si jazz mwen (t-vice) lage an album, im going to buy it..... but if i never heard of Dola, im not going to waste my time buying it... But if we had radio stations playing different artist then that would definitely change.... it would benefit the HMI in general.......

you know what is my new thing is getting kompa CDs in Paris seeing people like Billy the Kid or Elie Lapointe have projects out there without any mention of it here. It is like Kompa is divided by territories and very hard to have a link.
I got a CD just yesterday where Loulou and Stanley of Kreyol La were playing for a singer claiming to be in Top digital singing dechire kulot, adding tiny jabs to Ti Ansyto and praising another band name Pri Vice who steals music.
On that same CD you the former lead singer of Fahrenheit singing Happy 50 adding nice slogans and grooves.

let me be the first to say that I understand paying some djs and a few radyoman a bit of money on the side is part of markettig, and am not saying that it is something wrong or illegal..
my thing is, while many are falsely claiming that we the fans of the HMI don't really know good music, it is in part because the dj's and radios are only playing songs from a few bands..
and don't tell me it's because of over here that most radio stations are illegal... same thing happens in haiti.. only the big dawgs get air time. the new one, even though the music is great don't get playtime.
something needs to change, or konpa will stop evolving.
