I just listened to "Ronga" by Les Vickings D'Haiti its from the Vagabonnagerie album. I believe it was 1976 which places it 2 years before Scorpios 1st Reggae. _________________ The Haitian Sensation |

RON good catch! I had to go listen to it too. So Les Vickings had the first reggea recorded by Haitian "compas" band, and Scorpio probably had the most recorded reggea track.
JAY I need to give you a good GRACE recording. The GRACE I have is on point. It is remastered and cleaned out. _________________ OU VLE LAVE LAJAN, LAGE L NAN MAYTAG LA

This track could be the first Reggea track "RECORDED" by Haitian "Compas" band. This is RONGA by LES VICKINGS D'HAITI. RONBASS thanks. I don't know how I missed that track. I will have the Scorpio Reggea for those whitout a clue to hear. BTW the singers on each track sang in English, sang witout a nasty accent. You will be suprise.

Kunta,
Great stuff, man. RETOUNIN by Scorpio is somewhat identical to JERUSALEM by Rigaud Duverne. _________________ "The secret of life is not to do what one likes, but to try to like what one has to do." - DINAH MULOCH CRAIK |

I’m surprised that you are shocked Staff Poze
Kunta, my brothers use to tell me that they were the first to come out with many styles. He also told me that Coupe Cloue did not start rapping until he heard Les Vikings rapping style which you can hear on the track called Vikings en joie |
