All these years in the group PHANTOMS and vocalist Cassandre has nothing to show for it in terms of AT LEAST a SOLO CD. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE? Who is at fault? Is Phantoms holding her back, or is Cassandre at fault. READ THE LETTER BELOW from MADMAN JP of 2 FAT Productions.
____________________________________________________________

MADMAN: "I just got a call from my partner Jean-Max Valcourt in regard to this post I decided to respond to this on his and my behalf...since his name was mentioned as one of the individuals not helping the artist.

About a year and !/2 ago I personally sat down in a restaurant with Cassandra in brooklyn where the purpose of our meeting was to have her record a solo project.. which she was extremely excited about.
The deal was a production agreement between 2Fat Productions, Maximum records and the Artist where we would provide her with productions (tracks) unlimited studio time lyrics and melody to complete and entire album of 10 to 12 tracks. In return she would be compensated financially the sum of 10 thousand dollars for a 1 album and 1 year agreement.

She was extremely happy about the deal and the only thing that she wanted to do before sigining the contract with us was to speak to her Manager at that time which was Mr Jensen Desrosiers ... according to her she had already started some type of production in Florida with her manager and wanted to know if we would have a problem including those materials in our project.

My response was as long as they are in the same direction that we wanted to go it wouldn't be a problem at all cause after all diversity in a solo project is very good she is a very talented young lady and the focus was to give the public an opportunity to enjoy her on a different style than what she was in custom to.

A little while after that I received a call from her sister whom claim at that time she was also her manager and wanted to know how much would be the deposit my response was $5k upon completing the album and the balance 6months after the release of the project....

The only thing at that point and time I wanted to comfirm was whom in fact was her manager i insisted on seeing a Management agreement betwen the artist and whomever in fact was her manager... we provided our fax number and email addresses to her managers and now it is almost 2years later Jean Max and myself are yet to be contacted by anyone pertaining this issue....

To set the record straight Jean Max Valcourt is not busy with Do-La he is a co-owner of the band Do-La still he is a producer who is still working with several artist in the business under the mother company that our businesses and recording studios fall under (2Fat studio and Maximum studio) our doors are always open to anyone that is willing to work Do-La the band will never intefere with any other productions that we are capable of working on. KM I am sure you will contact the other parties and I will be waiting for their response to this.

My regards,

Madman JP.

Hello Madman

Maybe it should be Jensen as her manager or perhaps HERSELF for not having the drive/desire to continue or go on with the journey that you and Jean Max Valcourt offered her. My bad.

A question to you though, who or why do you think the deal that you offered to her did not go through?

KM!

I was reading the post I could not help but reply.

Mr. Madman some of the facts that you have stated on your post regarding your proposal to Electra (a.k.a Cassandra) were partially correct. You did have the meeting with Electra and yes your proposal was to give her $10,000 for the production. As an artist she was excited about working with you on a project. She did tell you that her manager who was not Mr. Jensen Desrosiers like you stated, but Merline J Raphael of Ritmokreyol Management Groups will contact you. Electra was working at that time with Mr. Desrosiers on her own production; she was making solo appearances to different shows. Jean Max Valcourt was the one who set up her songs for her solo performances.

I contacted you as Electra’s “assistant” not as her manager to get the follow up details for the completion of the contract. You requested to see a copy of the contract between Electra and her manager. After several failed attempts to get in touch with you Electra finally caught you on the phone, and you told her that you wanted the contract notarized, which her manager was ready to forward to you. We were never able to get in touch with you since. Electra after several meetings and input form different sources asked her manager not to follow through with the deal.

Many producers have contacted Electra for a solo project; Madman’s was not the first and only offer. However Electra made her final decisions based on her own observations. She is still working on her solo project. Only Electra can discuss her decision to go that route.

Madman

You no fool brother. A lot of these HMI folks got managers in every city, block, and street corner you can find. You should ask for that management contract and give them a week to have it sent. There is no need for calls, chats, or anything else, just send the man the stuff. Let him make that decision on how he wants to proceed.

That is one thing I don't like about Haitian folks they want to talk a lot about crap but all they need to do is get the facts to you.

I don't know Cassandre or anyone associated with her but I can answer your question KompaPat Very Happy

OOh OOH can I (raising my hand)

Well which artist in the HMI in their right mind would agree to a $10K deal and accept to get paid the second half 6 months AFTER the album release Rolling Eyes

How about half up front and half at the wrap up Rolling Eyes Idea Idea

You have to make it available for what you requested gets to you. When you requested to have notarized document send to you, you need to provide addresses for these documents to be mailed to. If you failed to do so, how on earth are you going to get what you need?

I recall from the very first converstion that I have with Mr Madman, he apologized for not getting in touch with me sooner, because he was a very busy man.

I have record of how many phone calls I made to Mr Madman trying to contact him on behalf of Ms Merline J Raphael.
