from okap people, i've been told that Bicha's been acting as a comedian from school (college) se konsa yo rele pi bon lekol ki genyen okap. yo di'm bagay dezirab la pat existe nan okap. my question is : is Dezirab from okap, for me to beleive that tonton bicha is really the copycat epi eske Dezirab te komanse comic li'an depi timoune men'm jan ak Bicha.

I saw Dezirab a few times and he's so lame.. Plus I saw him the first time last year..To me Bicha been around longer.. _________________ Reggie22 aka "Haitian sensation"!!

Tonton Bicha was well known way before Haiti Twoubadou. What made his popuarity was his appearance in Brother's Posse video "Anne" with his famous words "malfrendeng" and "ti dejwe". _________________ Yo di djaz sa frekan... Se pa fòt nou. Nou just RESAN!

PhizU,you are somehow almost there.It was way before Ann video even came out.They used him in a brothers posse carnival song that came before Ann video came out.It was somewhere between 97 and 98.Point barre.

First and foremost, I am not trying to promote or sell this artist. I just want to give you the proper information on Desirab. Tonton Desirab is mostly known in South Florida. He has been performing in Miami for over 12 years. He writes his own plays which he has been performing on stage. There are about 8 actors in his comedy troupe that perform with him at all times. From time to time, they would add a guest. His performances always pack a full house. He had a successful weekly half-hour comedy show on HTN for 11 years or more. Eventhough the TV program ended last year, he continues his live performances on stage from time to time. His show was the #1 comedy program in Miami for the longest. As for his music, to date, Desirab has 3 carnival videos and 2 regular mucis videos for which he had written all the lyrics. He had made appearances in numerous videos by Zenglen, Nu Look and others. His style of comedy is mostly taken from Jessifra. Some may not like his type of rural and crude comedy, but believe it or not, if you pay attention, his comedy tackles all the social, political, and sometimes medical issues of the day. There is usually a message in his program. If you go to most record stores in Miami, you will find videos or DVDs or his plays.
