MEI MEI: "Ok I'm going to tell my part of this ordeal. First of all I spoke 2 JUNIOR 6 days upon my arrival. We were talkin about da single "LADIES' (Beyonce song) I wntd 2mix n2 zouk 4 the show. 2 days later I get a call that the group is going under new management which is new 2 me, so I go in 2 ask who is goin 2 "jere me" 4 da show,and JUNIOR could not respond. I said i'll call back I didn't cuz I needed 2 think.

The next day I get a call from TI NES asking about the show asking when am I going to come and change. I was due2 perform with hangout now wen I ask tnes will I b able 2 play my "NO ONE" 4 just a little 4 my fans, then do a little dance debut with the song "SINGLE LADIES", TI NES told me that they would not be able to play it because They will b on stage 4 20 mins now I got puzzled... long story short wen I text TI NES the next day, I asked him so u say I can't play my "NO ONE" song cuz ya quote on quote won't have enough time? He turns around and said "DON'T PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH", I know i'm not old cuz I remember word 4word what he had said. Right at the moment I said i'm not going 2 argue just 4 get it. Then that's when he said we'll discuss it @ rehearsal.

MEI MEI continues "The day I came down people were asking why wasn't I on their last LIVE CD and that tnes said they don't need me back anyway. I brushed it but then I text JUNIOR and told him if I can play the "NO ONE" song I' do so. I didn't try or want 2 start any drama.... THEY JUST SENT THE WRONG PERSON TO CONTACT ME IN TI NES. Issues with him still stood an he just made things worst. I made a few calls last minute and got the part. I did da solo thing 4 me, I did 4 my fans and I have no plans of goin solo. I have plans of a solo album d@s about it.

I spoke 2 wilson right b4 goin on stage an he asked me what's going on, r u leaving us, I said no I didn't want 2 do this solo but I wanted 2 b able 2 do something 4 da fans, and u have 2 know da industry 2 go solo I haven't even progressed my career. Now lip singing not @all I wished I had gotten an instrumental done but we had d@ sho mix made 30 mins b4 arrivin 2 da show. I was wondering can people hear me cuz I couln't hear myself. After speaking with Wilson I met up with Ronald and Fred and stayed with them 4 a little bit. TI NES was dodging me everytime I looked his way, he kept goin now who is the kid. Several run ins at d@, I looked his way and he kept his head down, and then I heard JUNIOR saw me and didn't acknowledge me. If u got something against me tell me I will not bite my tongue.

I kept my distance cuz I felt ya tell me ya drama prior 2 da show don't feel me, it's just awkward. I have no intentions on leaving. People are going with he say she say, wen I spoke 2 bruno the day before the show he did say I should perform wit hangout. When I told him what TI NES said he got quiet and said i'm not going 2 b in that drama, you guys figure things out,.......

People keep thinking do I still wanna do hmi? YES I DO, but I will definitly not pass up working with DALLAS AUSTIN or jazze phae, I love my fans and I will stick around until I have reached my goal. I have not yet 2 reach it, and definitly can't with hangout. I been in the band for 3 years excluding my 7 mos leave.... why because everytime I come up with a new song whether its French or whatever, they listen to it and say it's a good idea then put it on the side. THEY ALWAYS DO THAT, so I figure my solo album will do the job...

I AM NOT GOIN SOLO, I JUST DID ONE SOLO ACT.. I AM STILL AN AMATEUR IN THIS INDUSTRY STILL WILLING 2 LEARN. I am preserving my dignity and my daughter needs a roll model, I want 2 bring something new to the table with my singing an dancing combined. Once more I AM NOT GOING SOLO IF HANGOUT THINKS THAT I WAS A LITTLE HARSH I WILL B DA BIGGER PERSON AN APOLOGIZE. BUT TI NES THERE IS NO NEED 2 WALK PASS ME WITH YOUR HEAD DOWN. Anyway I do not like the idea of a new management but wHATEVER FLOATS THEIR BOAT. I moved 2 ATLANTA 4 my personal affairs, it had nothing 2 do with the band. I had to do what I had to do for my daughter. I'm here working 9 to 5 mwen paka jere tet mwen anko map jere pitit mwen.

MY DAUGHTER COMES FIRST THEN HANGOUT ... I don't have 2 explain 2 hangout why I moved it's my own personal affairs. If they will allow me 2work around that, no problem. I started with Hangout and always planned on finishing.

That's my side of the story, if I have offended anyone or had said something out of the ordinary, I apologize. I am writing fast because I AM SHOCKED at JUNIOR and TI NES ......... I love u all and please kitem viv, i'm doing the best I could, and trying 2 cum up wit new ideas 2. Please my fans..... only time will tell an stay tuned 4 my solo album is all I ask I will definitly do an acapella act as well.... bye peace, love happiness..

I personally have never really paid any mid or taken Mei Mei seriously since she entered the HMI through Hangout. I always think she is NOT talented at all. She cannot sing. She has a nice body and some dance moves. That's it.

But after reading her message above, I must admit I begin to see her differently and start havinh soem respect for her. First, she comes out and do some explaining about Saturday. She talks like an intelligent woman who has come to realize that the HMI is not too favorable for women, because of the machist mentality of the HMI rulers. She is right for putting her daughter first and focus on her 9 to 5.

I must also give thumb up to her for recognizing that she has a lot to do to get to where she really wants to be as far as singing is concerned. If she take singing lessons, she can possibly make it in the HMI before she embark on a trip for the AMI.

Mei Mei, RESPECT FOR YOU!. After reading your message to KM, I start to feel you now (NOT as a singer though)

P.S: I truly belive if Hangout would have performed the song "NO ONE" with Mei Mei with a ZOUK-R&B beat and do the Beyonce "Single ladies" to open the Hangout act at the festival before Frero takes over, that would bring some more attention to the band. (just my opinion)

Good luck to Mei Mei, I guess kinbe la. I dont think anyone wouldnt expect her to put her daughter's first. My advice to her is that when you are part of a band, you are a team. Anytime you request special treatment, the other members will not be happy. I just hope both party can come together and make it happen. Hangout bezween Mei Mei et Mei Mei bezween Hangout. Tnes need to step but no need for an open letter from Hangout please.
