 |
|
The anticipated NULOOK-ZENGLEN showdown was a total success. MARABOU CAFE was OVERPACKED. KOB LA FET...
BEFORE THE PARTY
The party was sold out by 1:00 PM yesterday. Six hundred tickets were sold at $25.00 which send the fans into a frenzy looking for tickets at a higher price($35.00-$40.00) in the afternoon.
DURING THE PARTY
NULOOK opened the show with its old hits" YDSYLM", STE CECILE, AVEW MAP MACHE...and went on with their recent hits.
NULOOK played extremely well and the crowd reaction was great.
ZENGLEN had the advantage to close the show. They use the same strategy as NULOOK. They began with their old hits. Thus, they used DARBENS more at the begining and continued with songs in their last album to close the show.
ZENGLEN was ZENGLEN and the crowd reacted well also.
In my opinion both bands delivered, anpil kompa tonbe.
AFTER THE PARTY
Since both bands played well, after the party the conversation was shifted to which band had the better sound.
From where I spend most of my time taking pictures(the stage) it was difficult for me to REALLY make a valid ASSESSMENT of the bands sounds.
However, most HMI personalities that I talked to agreed that ZENGLEN sound was CRISPIER.
Should we declare the winner based on the quality of sound? It is tough call...
The Bottom line is the fans had their money worth.. Both bands delivered. NULOOK played NULOOK. ZENGLEN played ZENGLEN. Bel fet.
The fans were the CLEAR WINNER. I had a ball...!!!

ZENGLEN looked more like a TEAM on stage. In the NULOOK camp, ARLY, GAZZMAN and RORO IRENE were into the showdown more than the other guys... |

BUT AT THE END THE DAY.....THE WINNERS ARE NEMOURS JN BAPTISTE,THE FANS AND A TO Z FOR MAKING ALL THAT MONEY AND ONE BALL...
FANATIK ZENGLEN AND NU LOOK JUST CHILLAX YOU GUYS ARE ACTING LIKE A BUNCH OF TI MOUNN.....SISPANN PALE AMPIL.
