Musically. Well there is nothing there and I didnt expect much. This song will have more of an impact on the internet, then the non-internet world.

Anyway, there is SOME truth in the song.

The song is built on actually two ideas, from what I was able to gather (due to the bad mixing, I couldnt hear all the words).

1. People on the internet shooting down other bands while boosting other bands.

and

2. People accepting "shout-outs" to boost bands on the board.

The first premise wasn't born from the internet. This scenario goes back to kanaval days. Or barber shop talk.

The second premise is the one that will ruffle feathers. This one has validity. Back in the day radio DJs would get shout-outs.

But more and more these days board members are.

It's getting out of hand!

but i have to say some things. The song is too complicated. too many choruses, that you don't remember the beginning of the song by the time you get to the end. hangout tries to pack up too much into one song, I think personally, that the arrangement is too complicated. How many of you will actually remember the lyrics to this song? That's where the problem lies.
The horns seem to be detached from the song at the beginning. They need to blend in more.
Frero's voice is too long, and lacks power. That's a studio problem. his voice is not leading the song at the beginning, but should be, especially amidst all these chords changes.
Too much talking from him on the song, that's unnecessary.
Besides that, nice song, nice message. I would give it a 6.5/10.

Se menm gagot ki gate single "Plon Gaye" a, too much onto one song. Too many chords changes as well, sa pa vle di ke nou gwo mizisyen. There is a bit of truth to it though.

Now we know the artists are listening, not that we didn't already.
