ANMWEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ANMWEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First and foremost, before I start, I must say THANK YOU TO maestro RICHARD CAVE and CARIMI for playing all of the songs (EXCEPT 1) from the long list that I wanted to listen to. The group came out and went through a long list of their songs.

We got "PLAYER", "KIDNAPPING", "U MY #1", "SE LAM PRALE", "TCHA TCHA" (The worst that I've seen them perform that song due to SOUND issues), and they even added "POR FAVOR" (To close the show), "POUVWA", "AZIBIDOW", "R U READY" and more.

THE ONLY SONG FROM MY REQUEST LIST that I did not get (Only because the maestro said that he forgot, was "MWEN PA MACHO".

In terms of HAVING FUN ON STAGE, the guys were simply doing it, especially joking a lot with each other while playing were STANLEY, CARLO, TI MARCO, and NOLDY. TI MARCO had to play the GONG, because ALEX THEBAUD was not there. I believe he went to Haiti to celebrate his son's birthday.

The attendance was not packed, but at around 1:30/2 A.M, the people really started coming in, and the group did NOT disappoint in terms of their playing. There were times that I could NOT hear Mickael's voice due to SOUND ISSUES, but when it was taken care of, the group was simply having fun up there.

CARIMI...IT'S ALWAYS A PLEASURE listening to these guys play, and last night was the same.

RICHARD CAVE was having fun last night, despite the sound issues, he never lost his cool and kept it moving. The group even put him on the spot in front of the crowd when Mickael said that the fans were requesting that "THE ONLY MEMBER OF THE BAND who never "GROUYE" in front of the stage" to do so. Richard tried to get out of it, but the other members weren't having it, even CARLO was calling him out on the microphone, then he had to oblige.

NOLDY CADET I keep saying that this cat is simply SICK ON THE BASS, and is underrated in the HMI. His stage presence and star appeal is also very high. (By the way NOLDY, You better come through on the next CARIMI CD like I told you last night at the club. I have witnesses bro....LOL)

GLENNY BENOIT just rocked it on the guitar, smiling all night and droppingmany blazing riffs to keep the fans hips in motion.

STANLEY was feeling it last night, communicating with Ti Marco, Carlo, and the congas player all night. Kept the mood very very light on that stage last night by loosening up the guys. There was even one instance when he or Carlo Vieux had apparently done something in one of the songs that they liked, after the song, Stanley got up to give a "KORE'M" salute to Carlo.

CARLO VIEUX was in a laughing mood all night having fun and joking around with NOLDY, TI MARCO, RICHARD and STANLEY. However, there was this one instance in I believe "Azibidow" that something did not please him, and he stopped briefly and gazed across the stage as if trying to get someone's attention, but then again everything went back to normal very shortly after that, and he went back to having fun...including some sort of a TICKET TAG on NOLDY's sweater.

TI MARCO was showing off on the gong. I wasn't aware that he played the gong and the drums, on top of the congas position that he has in Carimi. He's a master of all trades. He filled ALEX THEBAUD's role nicely last night because usually, Alex is the one cracking jokes with the other band members on the stage keeping everyone loose.

MICKAEL GUIRAND gave what I call a "trooper" performance last night. A "trooper" performance is when the performer performs without a glitch, even though you could see that he was not his usual self in terms of how you are used to seeing him perform many times before. Mickael could have been tired a little bit, but that did not stop him from doing what he does best. In terms of animation, chapo ba...one of the best.

The guys invited ZIN drummer Patrick Appollon, DOLA gongist PIPO, and SUAV maestro/Keyboardist on stage on the last song to jam with them.

Another highlight was when MICKAEL invited a guy and a girl to do the "GAYE PAY" on the stage. That was funny also.

Here are some PICTURES

I'm happy you got 90% of your song request list granted Pat, "Ou Jwenn CaRiMirement" Laughing I guess Jeannie Cave was paying attention.

That's what I truly love about the 1 band format most of all is that you get to experience a bands full Repertoire if everything goes without a hitch.

It looks like a great time was had by all.

Thanks for sharing.
