I am very proud of the reaction of the HMI when it comes to helping out their people in this time of need. I applaus all the musicians, fans and anyone else who is trying to help.
In order for everyone's efforts to be even more meaningful and serve those that are in dire need, I would like to suggest that the money raised be given to the Red Cross. They have the reputation and experience in Haiti and possess the ability to manage and distribute such large amounts to the people and parts of the country that need it and also can provide reports on how the money was spent  That way everyone can be at peace about how their money was spent and the people will know that the efforts are legit. I will help in whatever way I can and urge others to donate clothes, money, food, time or whatever they can as well.
