WITHOUT A DOUBT, vocalist KATALOG is the most recognizable figure in the group GABEL. He is the face and name that most people in the band know. Having said that, the group is facing a situation where they need to try and make themselves known OVERSEAS, something that KATALOG is not able to do right now.
WHAT WOULD YOUR ADVICE BE TO THE BAND
A) Get another singer and travel overseas without Katalog. It has it's pros and cons.
B) STICK TO THE U.S until KATALOG's issue is resolved so that the band can travel complete, and the fans can enjoy the group with the main name/face of the band Katalog.
C) Get a WELL KNOWN SINGER and travel with the band without Katalog...hoping that the STAR of that OTHER singer will help erase Katalog's presence on those overseas gigs.
Which one is the best solution and why?

To avoid potential drama and confusion, I would say go with option B.
Question Pat: Does GABEL have any oversea commitments/gigs, if not, than I stick with option B.

GABEL SE YON JAZZ KI JWE AMPIL KOMPA DIRECT SI YON MOUNN YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE BAND PLAY LIVE W'AP PANSE SE VOYE M'AP VOYE MONTE. THEY DO IT FOR OTHER MUSICIAN WHY NOT THE SINGER OF THE BAND. IT'S NO PROBLEM PATRICK FABRE YOU SHOULD THOUGHT ABOUT THAT LONG TIME AGO.

Stick to the USA...I don't think that they are that big in Haiti so they should focus on the US, get more gigs in most of the states and get that money. Money may resolve a lot of problem and tension. Then when Katalog is ready, Gabel will have a bigger fanbase, a bigger name and a lot more to market.

B. Stick to the guy....besides the album isn't out yet... So right now there's no need for the band to go oversees! hopefully by then the issue would be resolved.
But if they know that the issue won't be resolved before 1 year, then they should by all means get a singer next to Katalog in the studio album, this way, they will be able to travel with a GABEL singer and not a stranger to the public. |

 A la ou minm sa patizan...
Pat, it is a tough call. The "djazz lokal la" tag has been hurting the band for the longest.
I think, they should let the other singer sing several songs on their next album in testing the waters and go from there.
I heard that KATALOG is part of the recruiting commitee/process. Like I told KENNY if KATALOG wants, I'm all for it. They even say it is KATALOG idea.

would Mass Konpa come to the US without GRACIA....
