yes, the numbers were not that good at one or two bals, but djakout is still in the ivy league.
so, i think djakout just needs to drop the live album or something else and then gain the momentum again. Although djakout might be "en baisse, but they are a relentless competitor
If djakout wants to regain their momentum now, have a bal with t-vice and then that is it.

It's PUZZLING to me how instead of EXPLAINING WHY they feel that DJAKOUT is NOT in a slump, some just go back to the AMAZURA thing that HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH "BAL NUMBERS".

BAL NUMBERS IS THE TOPIC...SE PA SHOWDOWN!

BAL NUMBERS is what I think is being discussed here. When some of you bring up AMAZURA...YOU DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE IN TERMS OF THE "TOPIC"/CONVERSATION that is being brought up here.

The DJAKOUT fans ON THE BOARD that are attacking KALIKO's LOYALTY/INTEGRITY....If you guys DON'T KNOW how much he's invested in the band and also HOW HE IS A BIG DJAKOUT FAN on the personal level, you should not be so quick to judge his character.

NOU PA BEZWEN ATTACKER NEG LA POU YON "OPINION". UNBELIEVABLE!

JIMBO: KALIKO is NOT an attention seeker. Li pa rinmin attention, so ou paka ap di neg la se news li bezwen fe. LI PA NEG KONSA. He is a LOW KEY type of guy, and if you ask most people in the hmi, they will tell you that as well.

He gave his opinion on BAL NUMBERS "RIGHT NOW"...Even if you don't agree with it....no need for the attacks. Besides HE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE IN THE HMI that's brought that up to me.

KM!

DJAKOUT biggest problem is the lack lot of options when it comes to match up for a bal.

The promoters cannot match DJAKOUT with either NULOOK or TVICE because those match ups are considered events.

That leaves DJAKOUT to play with KREOL LA, CARIMI, KREZI or HANGOUT.
DJAKOUT needs to play with NULOOK more often....this thing about asking tons of money to play with each other start backfiring... Wink

A promoter who has CARIMI has all the options. CARIMI pa gin problem jwe ak okin djazz...!!! Very Happy

Ok Bal numbers is not really the topic, the topic is whether or not DJazz la en baisse?

Now who is best to answer this question...Their manager, musician, or promoters Idea

Now if we were to look at the number of attendees at bals, it's safe to say that most bands in the HMI are "en baisse" now. People aren't going out as much now as before the carnaval...who's to say why...Karem, could be a reason, another reason is the communion season is sure to kick off, another reason is that people are tired of the material that the bands have been playing.

Now If we were to ask their manager of musician "Eske Djazz la en baisse...We would have to ask them how often do they travel, how often are they sought after...how many contracts for scheduled performances do they have? All of these questions need to be asked first.

Now from a promoters view, If the band is en baisse are other promoters seeking parties with them?

These are just a few facts to consider. Now Do I agree with what Kaliko said! YES! (Nounoune said it, and I'm not scared of anyone) I was having this conversation yesterday with an influential person in the HMI, and we agreed that yes, the band needs something new NOW.........., now as to whether or not it should have been made public, this is contraversial?

I am straight to the point, and I am not going to make an excuse, or lie to someone just because I think it will cause less drama. How will this benefit the band in any way. Kaliko MORE THEN ANYONE HAS EVERY RIGHT, and is MORE IN A POSITION THEN ANYONE TO STATE THAT THE BAND NEEDS TO STEP UP TO THEIR GAME! He has every right to express considerable concern in regards to his investment. Now think about this, if it were you...would you feel any different Question Yes he could have said it to them personally, which I am sure he has, much like many of us other Djakout and Konpa fans! But there is no reason why he could not say it in public too! Idea

This is not about picking favorites, it's about taking things for what they are, and any person who cannot admit to the fact that the band although very sought after, very popular, even after what some would consider an impressionable experience in carnaval STILL IS IN NEED OF SOMETHING NEW! Just like many of the other bands in the HMI, that I don't have to name! Razz

Fanatik Djakout, mwen konprann nou,...mais essayer konprann mwen too...se pa paske moun se Djazz pa'w, anba label pa'w, ...et moun pa'w ke pou fe ou paka di verite de yo...et sa pa yon faiblesse, au contraire Kaliko konnin se seul djazz ke li te ka fe kalite deklarasyon sa too...Just because if there is one thing WE KNOW DJAKOUT CAN DO ...is DEFY US! Cool Cool

Nou mem ki fanatik djazz la, pito nou ankouraje musye yo mache droit ke nou sevi kom dra pou yo... although on that particular weekend in Miami I have to say the odds were not in their favor there were 7 parties in the city that weekend alone, this is no excuse, but this is also something that should be noted! Wink

Mwen pa kwe ke tout verite bon pou di, mais mwen pa kwe ke kache yon verite ki si evidan pral fe anyen pou personn! Razz

A bon entendeur salut

et Fanatik Djakout, kwe'm djazz la pral fe nou kontan tres bientot! Wink
