I read an article on that earlier. That was a very generous gesture on Mr. Buffet's part. Buffet made a good choice in choosing Gates to be one of the recipients of his money. Gates is known for donating lots of money to charitable causes through his foundation. He has donated millions to Haiti. _________________

Well its called reducing your TAXES, FUTURE ESTATE TAXES OR FUTURE INHERITANCE TAXES while helping others. The great thing is he gave alot but still has alot left for him and his family and heirs. Nice gesture indeed. |

Ou loin net ou minm.
You know what he said: he doe not believe in a dynastical inheritance. Zafer kiter paket lajean pou moun lan li pa kwer la dan li.
By the way, guess what, his children have charitable organizations, but he has chosen to give the bulk of the money to other foundations.
So, ou wer. Se pa ou moun kap fer paler de li. By the wya, he has a foundation on his own. _________________ AUX PAS, AVEC LE KOMPAS! |

Koman mwen loin an? I applaud what the man is doing. I think it is a great gesture. He still has "15%" of his estate which will do more than provide for his family. He gave away billions that they would have never been able to go through...they didn't lose anything. The bottom line is he has helped them to avoid many estate taxes that they would have had to pay upon his death...BOTTOM LINE. So what is 'far off' about that? Don't attack what I said if you don't understand the 'financial' impact of it all, o.k.! Talk to any estate attorney, any financial planner or any person familiar with ESTATE PLANNING. |
