ad hominem? You see, I was right!!! Now, Paul think I was attacking him.

To begin, "pi sansib, pi soufri" means "the more sensitive, or caring you are, the easier it is to have your feelings hurt."

...and by "Mwen t'ap eseye pwotege Paul, men se mwen li anbarase.", I meant "I was trying to protect Paul, but he embarassed me."

Where do you get that from? There is absolutely nothing in my response that accuses you or anyone else of attacking anyone. I was responding to the way k-lito was responding so defensively. That's why I played with your words a little to observe that "Those who can't [don't know how] are the ones who suffer." And I am not suffering. Really.

So thanks for your concern. It's appreciated, although I'm still figuring out what it is that I was being protected from.

And before this gets too far afield, thanks k-lito for sharing what you have with us. It's appreciated.
