With the 2006 MLB season nearing week 10, the NY Yankees are finding out that life in the Major Leagues and the Big Apple isn’t all that good this year. In fact life has been anything but friendly to the Yanks since Spring Training. The NY Yankees entered this week’s series vs. The Red Sox with an injury plagued line up, a decimated pitching staff, and morale literally dragging in the mud.

Aside from missing Matsui, Sheffield, Pavano, Sturtze, Crosby and playing with an injured Damon, Posada, and Giambi – the Yanks are now suffering from a severe case of horrible defense. It used to be a dilemma related to their infield, not the cancer has moved on the outfield with the absence of Matsui. Gone are the days when a shot to the third base line – or a bouncing hop to short was gimme for A-Rod. These days, especially against the Red Sox, you can count on him to botch at least one play and charged responsibility of at least one error; hence an angry NY media and a pissed off Steinbrenner who’s gone as far as calling the “third basemen” to task.

These days, A-Rod is being blamed for everything, even the has-been-retired-since-last-year pitches of Randy Johnson and his misgiving on the mound. The Yanks are now left with a Mike Mussina to carry them through he rest of the season because Shawn Chacon can not pitch and Wang implodes against the Red Sox – the Yanks biggest and most feared opponent in the Major league.

And it’s only the beginning. Garry Sheffield is due to return tonight, but one can only wonder what difference he will make so soon and fresh off an injury. The Red Sox say it’s none of their concern – as they look to trounce the Yanks again this afternoon with Jarret Wright on the mound – a guy who is 1-4 in nine lifetime starts vs. the Red Sox, and has allowed seven runs and 14 hits in 17 1/3 innings over his last three outings. It doesn’t take a rocket a scientist to conclude that the Sox are looking forward to this game – and are licking their chops while waiting.

And guess who’s set to start tomorrow to close the series – a guy name Randy Johnson! Mezanmi - nuff said. An'n kite dossier sa la.

It's time to realize that Yankees are in trouble. The fact they got injuries of all kind only illustrates they are paying way too much for these players!!!!

The nation is glued on Red Sox nation right now, the Red Sox are on a tear right now. Yankees well they are tearing up themselves. Before you know it, everybody in the Yankees will be in a hospital room in NYC.

What's funny is the way the NY newspapers are tearing this team apart. Haitianone, you have to see it to believe it.

When you get a chance - just check out the Post and NY Daily News online. The Yanks are getting a beating from the Sox and their local media. Mr. Green Mr. GreenMr. GreenMr. GreenMr. Green:mrgreen:

Box...I was so on the hunt for you this past weekend and no one knew where you were...I wished I could've met you just so I could put a face to the Yankee hater....but back to the topic at hand...you're absolutley right and I actually agree with you...my boys are hurting right now and all the other teams are vying for top positions in the standings and of course clout when they beat the almighty Yanks...prime example is you of course...whenever you guys beat the Yanks you guys just talk and blab all the time, which proves how much you want to be like us. Laughing You don't get any respect until you can go toe to toe with the Yanks.

Daph - everytime I think about what I went through to find KM memebrs with their T-shirts this past week-end I just want to rip my hair off! I looked around so much it's unbelievable. Toward the end it was tough to move around because the place was so packed. If you had a nice spot and you left it - there's no guarantee that you'd regain it.

You don't know how bad I wanted to meet you guys Daph. I received tons and tons of calls from members who were looking for me. Til this day I can't find that "KonpaTones Stand that Pipirite was telling me about. I guess Fnamkonese and everybody else were supposed to be there and that once I met them they'd tell me where to meet everyone else.

I'm so upset. I was right in the middle of Miami - drove up and down some road called West Dixie...we kept calling it Winn Dixie Laughing Laughing Laughing I know Miami by heart now - although I just can't understand the difference between Route 826 and 836!!! And for the love of Christ - all of this "streets and Avenues..." It's always NW 123rd St....58th Avenue!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Mezanmi se pa pale.

Si se pat Ben mwen pedi nan lakou Miami!! Laughing Laughing

At one point I stood in line for some Hennessy...a long freaking line too....hoping to run into Tipoupouche! Oh oh!! Anyin! Laughing Laughing I asked around if people knew a girl that looked like a character right off the Scooby Doo show!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Ti mesye Zo Pound yo mande'm eseke'm fou!!!!! Laughing Laughing

But there'll be a next time Daph. And I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

Now back to some baseball talk -

Daph - explain to me the reasoning in your post: if you're a losing team with injured and ailing players - why then would we want to "...be like you!?"

Are you sure you didn't mean to write "all teams want to beat or stump on the Yanks!!!?" Mr. GreenMr. GreenMr. Green:mrgreen:

What a bunch of BLAH BLAH BLAH -

Daph darling how are you?

Ti-Boxer - The NY media always are alwasy hard on the Yankees. You know why!!!! because NY has the smartest baseball and intellectual fans. Not anyone can be a Yankees fan. I said to you before and I will say it again. It takes class to be a Yankees.

The media knows that... whenever there is something like we are seeing, they are all over teh Yankees. We are used to it and I do agree with them. Why do you think George is the best owner in baseball... It is becasue he knows his market and his media. He gave us what we want.. so be quiet and relax.. We have players out and they will be back on time to kick you bosucks behind..... I grant you that freedom... you can talk non-sense now.. you earned it but please bro... stay a Jehovah Witness do not follow Calista dark side putting curse on people. She is a mambo and H1 is a hougan..... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

AMWEY - LOUGAROU Shocked LOUGAROU Surprised vin-n mangez Yankees...

That indeed demonstrates that we are God's team.....

ALLELUYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AMEN !! Gloire a Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VIVA Yankees.............. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

Ti Box...I was asking everyone and their mother if they knew you or had seen you but you were M. I. A. and I really didn't see anyone with their KM shirts at all. but as for you and...Daph - explain to me the reasoning in your post: if you're a losing team with injured and ailing players - why then would we want to "...be like you!?"

Are you sure you didn't mean to write "all teams want to beat or stump on the Yanks!!!?"

Lets go with your analogy that everyone wants to beat and stomp on the Yanks...why would that be??? could it be for like, say an organization t like the Bo Sox...they blame their past on a curse or a ghost that happened to be a Yankee. Could it be that for any team that beat the Yanks they get more recognition??? could it be that the Yankees is a legacy and every child or up and coming baseball prodigy wants to be a Yankee??? Don't hate because the Bo Sucks don't get recogniiton like the almighty Yanks do, I don't know...tell me what you think!!

Who was publicly displaying the Red Sox curse, them Yankee fans and now today they attack one Red Sox fan that reminds them that so far they are 0-2 since the Red Sox had won their Championship. The way things are going it might as well be 0-10,0000.

Daphnee-- I don't know your Red Sox history, which seems to be very poor, Red Soxs have a legacy of greatness since 1904. We don't need them Yankees for that. Please, since when or ever!!!!!

Boxer-- It seems that the NY media is bashing the Yanks more harshly now then they did when the Mets almost swept them under the rug. I wonder why that is? If you guys have realized this, look at the show Survivors, more New Englanders or Red Sox fans get to be amongst the top two contenders and some have won. We are a tough bunch up here and we ain't scare of nothing. NY is twice as big as Boston, Yankees have fives more money then the Red Sox, but the Red Soxs sure get under the Yankee's skin.

Blessed the MIGHTY RED SOX!!!!
