We asked GABEL vocalist KATALOG to give us HIS PERSONAL RANKINGS of the MIAMI music scene right now, this is what he told us.

KATALOG: 'Right now in Miami, the market is like this. NU LOOK is NUMBER 1. ZENGLEN is NUMBER 2. GABEL is NUMBER 3."

When we asked him why he is putting GABEL ahead of a band like HANGOUT, this is what he told me.

KATALOG: "The ONLY thing that HANGOUT has done that we haven't done is GO TO HAITI. Sel bagay ke yo fe ke nou poko fe, se Haiti ke yale. ANYIN AKOR."

PS: Do you agree with his ranking or not? Especially that GABEL/HANGOUT issue?

I'd have to agree with him.

Hang Out had an opportunity to get a strong hold of the #3 spot in the Miami market after their release of the 4 Pouvwa album, the 15 mns that Mei Mei had but they failed to capitalize on them.

4 Pouvwa is a very good album but so far it hasn't materialized for Hang Out yet.

Gabel comme nouvo band fe ti crowd li. From some bals scene, we can see that they have a decent following. As for being number 3, i wouldn't disagree. Who else can we put in front of them. Hangout, they had a good album, went to Haiti and didn't make any noise, they've been kind of silent lately. With a nice album like this, they should be making huge noise right now.
