Hey girl...welcome to our little rivalry we have here... How can you live in NY and work for the Red Sox..are you for real??? I think you're a hidden Yanks fan...its all good but no self respecting NY'er could be a Red Sox fan unless their haters and like the Mets.

I go to school in NY and go back to Boston on vacation and work for the Sox. I don't do anything too serious... my job is like the closest thing to a cheerleader in baseball... Yup, it's as scary as it sounds.  lol. It's mostly a summer gig that allows me to watch games for free, hang out with cool people, and just have a great summer. I'm not sure if I want to take the step and make a career in baseball the destination for me.
But I was a Sox fan before working there. Now in the 3 years I've been with them, I've met the players, staff, families, and fans from both sides which actually only served to solidify my being a fan of the Sox. Yeah the rivalry is not as bad from the inside but still... I've seen some behavior from the Yanks... 
@Tipouche, its not that hard to get a job w/ any team in baseball. Considering the fact that I'm in NY you would think that I would get a job with the Yanks out of convenience right? So obviously my not doing so is a sign that perhaps money doesn't mean too much here. |

Must be fun!!! But I guarantee you if you worked one summer with the Yanks you'll be a convert. The ambience in NY is bar none and yeah I have to admit it too though some fans take it to the extreme and if you were working over there being a Sox fans you'd definitely hear and see alot more than you bargained for. We've got alot of games this season to banter about so may the best team win and more than likely that'll be the Yanks all the way!!!
