Miami, Florida, - This Memorial weekend, Haitian superstar Tantan (aka Stanley Toussaint) will release his latest musical masterpiece: âMachandiz Laâ. This long awaited second album which will include 13 original tracks features some of the best contemporary Kompa musicians and associate producers like the renowned producer "Q" (Cash Money, Laface Records, Streets and Hitmakers) as well as Welmyr Jean Pierre, Madman JP, Mark Celestin Jr. (Sexy Beef), Williere Antoine (Willy-Will), Makarius Cesair and Shedley Abraham. Tantanâs latest cd will showcase his talents as a producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist while exploring an alchemical blend of Konpa, Zouk, Hip Hop, R&B and Folk. This sensational new release is guaranteed to be the hottest album of 2007 and is certain to ensure Tantanâs iconic status in Caribbean music for years to come.
In 2005, Tantan reigned supreme on the Caribbean music charts with his self-titled debut solo album and hit single, âPam, Pam, Pamâ; since that time he has dominated the market and established himself among the elites of the Compas Direct movement. âTantan practically owned 2005, according to music charts and record sales. The hit song âPam Pam Pamâ dominated the airwaves throughout Haiti and abroad, while his pivotal album âTantanâ reigns at the top and unofficially is probably the best-selling album of the yearâ
In 2004, the violence, which has plagued Tantanâs beloved homeland, resulted in the death his mother, Serette Toussaint at the hands of a youth gang. This tragic incident spurred Tantan to join in the fight against crime by becoming the official spokesperson for the USFCH (United States Fund for Children of Haiti), an American non-profit organization helping under-privileged children in Haiti. This year Tantan will set precedence by donating a portion of the proceeds from âMachandiz Laâ to the USFCH. For the first time ever, Tantan will film his next music video for his hit single âfet lanmouâ in Haiti. Tantan invites all to celebrate the release of his groundbreaking album. FET LANMOU is simply awsome. Tantan couldn't find a better track to express this theme. The song has this carribean beach party flavor in it, very nice!!!
With this song, i get the same vibe i got from Lionel Ritchie's song All Night Long. Tantan should add another HIT in his library with this one.
The lyrics are nice, the guitar is beautifully simple, the keybord solo will take you to that festive and love atmosphere that the song create. Clubs and radio stations will enjoy this one.
Congrats Tantan, he put a lot of positive feelings in that song. It's excelent!!! _________________ YA RAYI'W TANDE TI GASON(RICKY) |

This is a very GOOD work.
We need that flavor sometimes in the HMI. This song is a hit. There is a mixture of everything in it. (Racine, Kompa, Dance Hall etc ...) |
