even though bal and tje movies are my primary forms of entertainment...I'm ready to give it up...seriously thinking about it.

I haven't been to a bal since last july when I saw krezi.

I like this idea especially if involves those boycotting promoters who proving time and time again that they will resort to GANGSTA tactics if they don't get what they want.

I would not say boycott the whole HMI cause I will still support some of the other ones. But Carimi, Kreyol La ak tout ban promoteur bidon sa yo, nou ta suppoze stop supporte neg sa yo.

I can't even remember when was the last time I went to one of their parties.

For now, let me enjoy Djakout, T-Vice, Nulook, Zenglen ak Krezi until yo vle antre nan tintinnade sa yo.

I agree with boycotting the promoters but Ricky, why would you say boycott CaRiMi?

I agree, and I know that myself, I am staying away from Haitian Bals for a while. Not only we have a limit as to what places we can attend bals, now their is a limit on what bands you can afford/risk to go see. Now isn't that just ridiculous! Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation When are these people going to wake up form being stupid!!!! Evil or Very Mad Now it has become flat out danderous to attend certian bals, I mean anyone see somrthing wrong with that!!!!

True, a boycot might never really happen...Why...because of stupid fanatik malad or really dumb people, those same kind of people who decide to be the bands crew, the same people who decide to retaliate when they feel the band was done wrong...Those are the people along with money hungry promoters and Hi tempered musicians that are driving the HMI to the ground...pitty Rolling Eyes

Tilouj, I think some fans are frustrated on how CaRiMi's mgmt has handled certain situations and it unfortunately makes the band look band. This may be naive on my part, but maybe some fans feel if they stop going to CaRiMi parties and their bal attendances start to noticeable be lower than maybe it may force CaRiMi to action and to change how and who they do business with.

Than he should add all the bands except for tvice and maybe kdans & krezi. If we are looking to boycott bands with bad managements, I don't think Carimi is on top of the list, where does that leave Djakout, Nu Look? I think they are worst than carimi. I do agree sometimes they made bad judgement but I would not say they are that bad to be made example out of.

Guys

Come on, all the bands have armed enforcers and security officers ok!!!! I personally think it will be a boom for the HMI. You know all the girlies like bad boys and roughnecks, so now instead of hogging the stage like they are doing now, they have a selection of musican and thug to choose from. Bagay ap bon pou fi yo and more room for the man to hog the stage.

People like me are out, there is no place for intellectuals and passive observants who want to check out the scene. Guaranteed the armed enforcers will start to claim the women at the events as theirs so there is little room to make new friends and socialize. I guess the wives of these married men who be rolling up in there will be happy. Single men like me will be rolling up at dance hall clubs or play their IPods at home.

What a brilliant idea! Punish ALL for the actions of a few. Why not just boycott the promoters in question.
