KM spoke to RICHARD CAVE about him surprising everyone...including MICKAEL GUIRAND by going on stage last night to salute them at the VAYB NYC premiere. KM spoke to him about that. Read below.



*KOMPA MAGAZINE: What made you go up on stage to salute Mike and his band last night.... when you said that it would not be good for business if any of that stuff happened/
RICHARD CAVE: "Richard Cave: Listen my dad is a guy that i respect a lot . He told me that mickeal spoke to him and that he never wanted to be in this situation with me. I think that sometimes you need to forget things and move on..LA VIE A PAS MANDEZ TOUT SA.... I didn't perform with the guys because i think it was their night , not mine. I'm not going to do what people want me to do..... I'm not in djakout/ tvice situation or tropic/septen situation ....This is two brothers that were in a same band. Ou sonw gason se leur ou ka bliye tout bagay et mache kontinue .... LA VIE KA SIMP ... MEN SE NOU KI KOMPLIKEL."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Did Mike know that you were coming?
RICHARD CAVE: "NO....He didn't know."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Did it feel RIGHT or AWKWARD in your opinion....Mike's reaction that is?
RICHARD CAVE: "Pat i know that he was surprised, but not awkward... I know the man."

Very nice and classy gesture but I'm not surprised. I know some will think Richard has an ulterior motive but it can be as simple as trying to show support to a former close bandmate/brother and to let bygones be bygones.

I truly wish BOTH bands the best.
