*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Your opinion on the Vayb poster?
CARLO VIEUX: "Great poster, I love it. Excited about the fact that Noldy is back in the biz."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: As a music observer, is it a coincidence or is it clear that the poster has messages targeted towards KAÏ?
CARLO VIEUX: "Not sure, you should ask MG. I don't see why he would do that. And I believe that we should stop seeing everything in that light. Every time two bands perform it's always "vs". He released a great poster and that's it. That's just how I saw it, did not read anything into it. I might be wrong. Again you should ask MG."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: It's clear that fans and promoters are setting the table for a VAYB vs KAÏ competition... and many think it might be exciting for the business. Based on the circumstances surrounding both groups. You disagree with that notion?
CARLO VIEUX: "If you go back and listen to my interview in July last year when the band broke up, I stated that the "vs" mentality is what turned me off amongst other things. Why can't bands go on tour together like in other industries. When I was in the industry I had a team and was down with my team and was sucked into that mentality. But to me I don't think it does anything to promote our music. But if it's good for both parties so be it. It is what it is."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Are you down for making any guest appearances with either band for 1 song if invited..... or does that interfere with the possible reunion tour plans? In other words "BAD" for CARIMI business?
CARLO VIEUX: "No appearances, am really no longer in the industry like before. I perform once in a while with 5Lan, great set of cool guys I may add. But that's a choice that I took and enjoying so far. And yes it would be bad for business in terms of a possible Carimi reunion in the future."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: You know some of the musicians from both bands well...who has the edge on the Bass?
KAÏ with Jeff or VAYB with Noldy?
CARLO VIEUX: "They have different styles and both bring something different. They are both great in their own way. "

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Who has the BETTER BAND in your opinion?
CARLO VIEUX: "Time will tell. But I believe both will be successful. we need some new and refreshing sound in the HMI, and I think they will both bring that."

Nice interview and I agree with Carlo WHOLEHEARTEDLY. We need to get away from the Band A vs. Band B tactic. How are we ever going to have a healthy or more accurate healthier HMI if this mentality and attitude is always so prevalent. I do sometimes believe bands use this more for buzz and to get our zin-loving a$$es to be interested but I think it high time we change this for the betterment of the industry. JUST MY OPINION.

I wish BOTH bands the best of luck!

Ciao

Misye show a lot of maturity in this piece. I called him out in the past but this time he shows class. This VAYB VS KAI is a turn off if u ask me. Why don't we challenge the bands to elevate their musical repertoire instead this band vs that band?
