*KOMPA MAGAZINE: A prominent well known HMI heavyweight in the Miami market told me today that New York will never be able to regain the number one spot in the market again from Miami. He compared the bands that are from Miami...to the ones that are in New York.... and basically said I rest my case. LI DI SE POU NYC TA LEVE BONHEUR!
Miami has Klass, Nu Look, Harmonik, Disip, TVice, Gabel, Zenglen...and NYC has Kai, Vayb, revamped Karizma

Remember the saying that says, "If you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere?", it's an undeniable fact. We are the final answer to your million dollar question. Whether a band will succeed or not in the business is determined right here in this state.
Also keep in mind, all the major events are done here. It is where the bands make their money from major gigs. Name a major holiday where you'll find a popular band performing in "Miami"? If they're not here at one of the many major events, they're in Haiti.
The biggest weekend in Miami is the Compas festival, after that it's routine gigs. New York is the Mecca of the HMI. The state to make or break you in this business!"

CHICO SHOWBIZ: "Pat in a way it is a reality. The majority of the bands are based in Miami. On another front, New York will be New York, there's nothing like NY, the real test for a band to flex their muscles fok ou passe test NY, you have to be embraced by the New York partygoers! I cannot say I agree 100%. He or she has a valid point due to the fact that most of the bands are based in Florida. When I'm in Florida I don't do bals except for Compas fest. I'm a hardcore New Yorker when we get down we get down as far as partying is concerned. If I have to compare I'd say NY, nevertheless, it wouldn't be fair because I don't really know the other side much except for Compas Fest"
